The best coop shooter!

You have 4 classes: Driller, Scout, Eng inner, Gunner and each class has very distinct weapons and terrain manipulation devices. Each weapon feels punch and its satisfying to get kills but the more you play, the more things you can unlock for your weapons to make them feel stronger. The terrain manipulation devices are the things that really change how Deep Rock feels compared to other games, for example a Driller has drills and you can drill in any direction on he map and through any piece of terrain. The Scout has a grappling hook which you can fire to instantly send you towards whatever you've fired at. The Engineer has platform guns which you can use to to build bridges to minerals, or use stairs to climb higher up on terrain. The Gunner has a zip line that you can setup and hook yourself onto and move up and down the line. All these terrain manipulation devices can really change how you play the game and the more you play, the more out of the box you can get with your play style especially when you combine these with certain Overclocks.

You have multiple different missions types to play, which can vary greatly, you have modifiers, such as low gravity, no oxygen etc which add a lot of variety. You have multiple different biomes to play in which all look completely different. On top of that, the game randomly generates each map you play on, so every single mission you play will feel different.

Once you've played it for a while you start to get "Overclocks" which are things you slap on your weapons to change how the weapons work. Overclocks completely overhaul how weapons work, you can have shotguns that propel you in the air, smgs that can freeze enemies, grenade launchers you can use to rocket jump, all these combines with the terrain manipulation devices can create some wacky play styles and its a lot of fun to experiment with.

Ghost Ship (The Developers) have managed to do something amazing with the "home base" where you select missions and change how your weapons work etc. They have somehow managed to make make the homeship fun. You can buy beers at the bar, do stupid dances, play flappy birds on an arcade, check out your customisation, build overclocks, play the barrel kicking game, play prop hunt. It just feels so natural after you've had a stressful game with your boys to be stupid and mess about at the home ship. I'm really glad Ghost Ship spent the time they have on the homeship and I hope other developers learn from them.

The devs also push out seasonal content which is completely free! This adds new enemies, new events, new overclocks, new beers, new things to do at the homeship, new cosmetics etc. Its always really well polished and tested before being released.

This brings me onto another thing, monetisation. The game is priced very fair at £25 and stupidly cheap in sales, they do have DLC but its all cosmetic extras, 99% of cosmetics are free in the game, you just have to play it and find them/unlock them. I will say though, if you want to support the devs, because of how great the game is and how much free content they push out, please buy the DLC's to show them some love!

The fanbase of this game is so great and friendly. we have an amazing relationship with the dev's who absolutely love there community and we feel the same love back for them! Rock and Stone!

The game is better with friends but if you dont have anyone to play with, playing with randos is still really good, people are really friendly and you can always try to gather some people to play with on the Deep Rock Discord server.

Buy the game, you will nor regret it!
