Since this is a Free to Play game you are better off just trying it yourself instead of taking my opinion for a fact. Instead I'll focus this review on the things you might want to know, before you commit to spending any money, or several hours of your life on Dirty Bomb.

• The business model is very fair. You get both a daily play bonus as well as 'missions', which task you to play a certain class to earn extra credits. Furthermore there is no stupid 'renting' here, the stuff you unlock is yours.
  
• There is a sort of 'Loot Box' system to the way you earn loadouts, however if you specifically want a certain one, you can also buy it directly with the in-game credits.
  
• The playerbase is not huge but you'll never have problems finding a full server to play on. Ranked matches are done through matchmaking however, which can take a while. (Queue times obviously get significantly longer, the higher your ranking becomes)
  
• This is an 'easy to understand but hard to master' type of game. Hard means ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard though. I've seen more than enough schmucks with thousands of Counter Strike hours getting ground up into a fine paste and crying about it in chat. Having good FPS fundamentals will definitely help, but you will still get your teeth pushed in by more experienced players regularly. Thus if you are easily discouraged, you will probably never get far enough, to truly enjoy this game.

Overall I would highly recommend Dirty Bomb, if you like fast class-based FPS.The only big downsides are that the ongoing development of new features is very slow, and that it will definitely take a significant while, until you are somewhat decent at it.

In the kitchen I try to make meat loaf out of the girl but it becomes too frustrating a task and instead I spend the afternoon smearing her meat all over the walls, chewing on strips of skin I ripped from her body, then I rest by watching a stream of last week’s new Steam VoD, American Psycho.

Truly the citizen kane of pc ports.
Crashes whenever I try to change any option or connect to a match.

Also make sure to get the music from the steam community. The original soundtrack was CD audio and is not included in this digital release.

Once you pierced the amniotic sac with a wire coat hanger it's over. Pouring some salt onto a corpse two years later won't magically resurrect it.

If you are unfamilliar with them here's a quick rundown:

1) They develop a game, which looks promising during the beta phase / early release.
2) They squeeze out as much money from players who invest into their Free-2-Play model during that timeframe.
3) They create a new more promising IP and abandon the old one.

It happened to Global Agenda once they had Tribes, then it happened to Tribes in favor of SMITE.
And I fell for it twice. I both gave them money for Tribes and SMITE during the beta phases...

So how's it looking now?
SMITE has horrible matchmaking and terrible balancing of new content in favor of churning out a crapload of skins for easy money. Also a cancerous focus on ESPORTS cause that's where the big bucks are.
If you absolutely must play this game then buy the entire God-Pack and nothing else. Might as well have every character available to you while you are having a miserable time.
