Why am I doing this? Why is this fun? Isn't it ironic, don't ya think?

Trust me when I say this... you are doomed for addiction. One of the most fun, little pointless games I've ever played. Thumbs up.

Early Access Review
If it tells you anything, I already refunded this title.

Anyway...

Terrible zombie AI. Actually, it's more like non-existent zombie AI. They stood there. They did nothing.

While I was playing, I rarely found loot of any sort, and of what I did find, not a single weapon. Which brings me to my last point...

Microtransactions contained the weapons and ammo, and were overpriced and accessible by all players. So, not only way the game pay-to-win, but other players could STEAL the items YOU PAID FOR and KILL YOU WITH THEM before you were even able to touch them yourself.

Just, no.

One of my favorite games released in the past 5 years.

Excellent music from Darren Korb (the soundtrack alone is worth checking out apart from the game itself), accompanied by Grade-A voiceover work from the narrator. Engaging story. Soild controls. A unique art style with crisp 2D graphics that run well on basically any machine. Tons of unlockable weapons, challenges, elixirs, upgrades and idols that add to the replay value and player's satisfaction. Fun, fast-paced combat mechanics that reward the player for finesse.

You really can't nail a game like this any harder than Supergiant Games has done here. I would recommend this game to anyone.

A promising little platformer plagued by a HUGE flaw. The game looks pretty sweet at first, but the controls are so clunky that they literally ruin the experience.

I completely understand what they were going for here (Contra style romp), and in some ways they did just that. The game is just too frustrating on a fundamental level to really enjoy for more than 10-15 minutes.

A great tactical FPS worth every penny.

An absolute riot to play with friends, but it's also fun to just get online and meet some new ones.=

Awesome community of players, both in quality and quantity.

Tons of DLC to expand the replay, and frequent free goodies from the devs. Leveling up and upgrading your characters skills and perks, customizing masks, buying and modding weapons, etc. all add to the depth of an already fantastic predecessor (Payday: The Heist).

Game looks good, runs good, controls good, and plays even better.

I have gifted the game to and played it with many friends, and will continue to do so, as it looks as if though Overkill isn't ditching their fans any time soon.

Never thought (un)organized crime would be this fun. Thumbs way up.

Where to start?

There are no options of any sort. The control scheme is laid out in text as part of the floor in the first wave, and I had to squint to read it. The character sprite is so damn small that you can hardly see it. When an enemy hits you, there is an explosion around you that is ten times larger than the sprite you are controlling. This is about the only way you can even tell where you are unless you can somehow avoid being hit by the annoying enemies.

This game is pointless and absolutely boring and frustrating. A complete waste of time even at $0,19, which is what I got it for.

The only bonus to this game are that it will give you some trading cards. I couldn't even stomach the game long enough to farm one yet. I guess I will be alt-tab afk farming in this one soon.

Trash.

Very polished re-imagining of one of the best Genesis games out there.

I like that they stayed faithful to the classic game, without making a straight up carbon copy. The few risks they took with the game really paid off.

The game's visuals and art-style are of traditional Disney quality. The game looks good, runs well, and invokes the magical nostalgia factor of the original throughout.

The new 2.5D platforming was fairly simple, rarely a challenge, but overall a lot of fun (exactly the way I feel about the Genesis version). I read some reviews that complained that the controls were bad, or that they were experiencing input lag... I am using a decent gaming PC, Windows 8.1 with an Xbox 360 wired controller, and I experienced neither of these problems.

I recommend this for fans of Castle of Illusion on the Genesis, SEGA fanboys, Disney freaks, and basically anyone who enjoys a solid platformer.

First of all, let me start by saying I am a HUGE fan of the Holy Build Engine Trinity (Duke3D, Shadow Warrior & Blood). When I heard they were re-imagining Shadow Warrior, I got totally excited at the thought, but that thought soon faded out after I thought about how most things like this turn out. Whether it's movies or video games, re-establishments of classic franchises seldom work out.

To say that Shadow Warrior turned out good would be a massive understatement. It's fantastic.

The game LOOKS phenomenal. It runs very fluidly with little to no slow-down on even the highest settings on my machine. The visuals and environments are clearly extremely inspired by the original game's art style, and couldn't possibly have been nailed harder than Flying Wild Hog nailed them here.

The soundtrack and effects are pretty good, with quality voice acting to back it up. The jokes do get a bit lame at times, and both Hoji and Wang can get a bit annoying after awhile, but hey that's the campy goodness we came to know and love from the masterful Build engine franchises.

The controls are smooth (I'm using keyboard/mouse, as I do with most any FPS) and not frustrating at all.

I really feel that FWH really brought home the gold here with melee fighting and gun combat here. The combo system and vast list of special moves and alternate fire modes are really something special.

The upgrade system is also incredibly deep. You actually get to spec Lo Wang here on multiple levels, and they will directly affect the way you play the game.

I'm not totally finished with the campaign yet, but the story is surprisingly good as well. I'm actually not skipping videos and following along. So it's at least good enough to keep me interested, which is saying much more than I can for a lot of shooters I've played in the past.

Overall, the game is well worth the 40 dollar full price-tag they put on it, but it's a steal if you can get it on sale, ESPECIALLY right now at 10 bucks.

You just can't go wrong with this one. One of the best games I've played all year, and an instant classic right up there with the original.

Well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ done, Flying Wild Hog.
