It's an excellent remake of HL1. Second to none. If you've never played HL1 this'll just be a great game to play through. For us HL1 boomers, this is a nostalgic trip built with lots of love and attention.

Not sure how I haven't written a review yet. While it's no original DoW, it certainly was the first of its kind (that I know of) to offer a unique type of gameplay and remains a very satisfying way to kill xenos scum by hordes with a select band of heroes. Highly recommend this to anyone.

Short version: get it.

It's much like RE2. Gameplay is exactly the same which is great. The story, however... eh. I never played the original so I don't have anything to compare it to, but it wasn't as good as RE2. I was also a little let down by the fact that they were more banking on jump scares and action rather than the chilling uncertainty RE2 had. In RE2 there were literally moments where I didn't want to go anywhere because I was too scared. Never happened here. It's still a good game and worth your money, but don't expect it to be AS good as the previous one.

Regardless, I hope they'll remake RE4. I will surely be playing that as well.

Solid 4X game. It's a got lot of different factions that you can play through, each offering its own take of the world. Though the DLCs are required to have the most amount of fun out of the game.

Wholeheartedly recommend playing this. And be sure to play Leon and Claire to get the real ending. But unless you're a masochist, don't bother with the 4th survivor and the 3 added content stories. They're not really stories. Just timed challenges. :/

At first I thought this game was garbage. I had it on my ignore list because I figured it'd be as complex and hard to follow as Crusader Kings 2. Turns out I was wrong. This game is a gem. I'm not even a big fan of World War stuff, but this one's done pretty damn well and I'd happily recommend it to anyone who likes strategy games with micromanaging. Maybe a little too much micromanaging, but oh well.

Holy crap. I never played the original Resident Evil 2 so I don't know how this is in comparison, but ♥♥♥♥ this is so good. The atmosphere is just amazing. I'm definitely considering getting the full game at launch.
