One of the strangest impacts nostalgia can have is in tricking your brain to feel positive emotions for a period of your life you most certainly were not enjoying. I played this early on in 2021, during a still-uncertain pandemic world. I along with the rest of the world, was constantly wondering if one of my loved ones would suddenly and without warning pass away, and we wouldn't even be able to host a funeral.

Yet any time I hear the somber horns in the frigid outdoors of Revachol, I am immediately transported back to this point in my life. Those were terrible times, but this game was absolutely not the terrible part of those times, it was the antidote. I love this game with every fiber of my being, and while I would say it isn't for every person out there, it is unquestionably for me.
