Fun to play with friends in co-op. There's not much of actual co-operative gameplay aside from being on the same map together as the spells between players don't interact at all, aside from the odd healing augment. Despite that, it's a good game to chill out with.

I have not tried matchmaking or single player. The native Linux build was quite broken for me but works great on Proton.

While the game looks great and has a nice soundtrack, I found the gameplay quite boring. Dashing around the stages is fun in the beginning but quickly becomes repetitive as there's not much to discover. The combat is okay.

It's exactly what you think it is: Risk of Rain in 3D... and it's bloody brilliant.

Edit some time later: I've not played this game since the Gearbox acquisition and have no intention to. I'm not sure if I would recommend the game anymore.
