just wow. imagine taking all the toxic parts of dbd out to make a similar multiplayer experience

i was waiting until i finished the game to leave a review as to not be too hasty. this is not a $70 game by any stretch of the imagination. i enjoyed the idea of this game. it was repetitive, it took only 12 hours to beat, the world is empty and the missions are hollow. from a multiplayer perspective, there is no drop-in matchmaking, and mission completion with a friend doesnt carry over to the guest which means you're doing the same missions multiple times. i wasn't even paying attention to the story by the time i hit the 2nd area. definitely a regrettable purchase and i dont think there is much that can be done to save this game.

lots of mixed reviews out there. the game is a solid yes imo. it is updated frequently and is already a great boxing experience in early access. i won't nitpick what fighter should be able to do this or that. for me, a casual player who wants a boxing game to play with friends, this is an absolute yes from me.

this scratches my wasteland itch, my battle brothers itch, my xcom itch and this one itch that doctors haven't been able to diagnose. i've been in the isolation ward for all my itches for a month now. things aren't looking good. thank god i have wartales!

10 / MAKE THE ITCHING STOP!

remember the mega man games of yesteryear? that plus artificial difficulty! fun things like unfair platforming, eaten button inputs, fire walls chasing you faster than you can manipulate around consistently and my personal favorite the game crashing when you transition rooms so that you have to do 4 entire areas over again because you didn't save.

I've never played gal gun before. I will now!

upon completing the game, i opened up my own restaurant and was promptly sued. apparently naming a fast food place "mcwendys king" is some sort of infringement.

my original review of the game was about how i enjoyed it and it was one of the games i liked doing the speedruns of. then the new version came out and the game was ruined. no more speedrun tactics, new auto scroller style levels that eat inputs so there's no consistency and an overall death to the charm that was this game. review changed. such a shame.
