All of the gripes I had with the first game are still present here in the second game, plus a few new ones.
Your hands will get stuck on EVERYTHING, from physics objects to climbing surfaces. launching you off high places or entirely breaking your immersion because your arm got stuck and was left behind.
You have to t-rex pose in all tight spaces and whenever you are crouching just to move forward.
Vaulting up ledges, railing, tops of ladders etc is 50/50. you will get up, or you will be pushed backwards.
If you try to jump off anything but a completely flat surface, it will not work as intended.
The virtual gun stock makes aiming down sights with anything utterly frustrating.
Every time you hold the jump button you stop sprinting, requiring another thumb stick click to get going again, this sucks when there is zero "run up" room and you walk-jump off ledges by accident.
If you jump whilst ascending a slope or stairs, you will either jump straight up or not jump at all.
The time trial leader boards, much like literally every other game in existence, are useless with people cheating 0.02sec times to get to #1
There is a persistent fog limiting graphical draw distance fidelity.

The more I play, the more frustrated and disappointed I get that THIS is the supposed pinnacle of VR capability.

I bought this to play in VR on the Quest 2.
Bafflingly, for me it runs better wirelessly (50fps) than it does when plugged in (15fps).
Needless to say, if you want to play this in VR, don't bother; the optimisation is non-existent, and its too late to get a refund.

Full of annoying bugs.
- Camera panning into darkness for 15 seconds, during my turn, fully taking over the camera for no reason
- Enemies taking shots (and hitting) with zero line of sight
- Game pausing for up to a full minute before "enemy activity" alert shows
- Enemies being successfully hit (blood spatter) but no floating text and 0 damage applied somehow
- Overwatch not triggering at all on occasion
- Ability cooldowns taking an extra turn more than they should
- Explosions destroying cover but not damaging enemies, where enemy explosives succeed in doing exactly that

Game is ridiculously unfun. The previous title, Enemy Unknown has NONE of these problems. Not a single one.

The game is great on paper, however, in practice:
The sense of scale is wildly off, hands are too small for my body, and my body is too small for the environment.
Weapons have no heft or weight. "wiggle" combat reigns supreme here, making blocking/lowering enemy poise (and finishing blows) obsolete.
Humanoid enemies get way too close to be able to block blows effectively.

That was the bad. Now for the good.
The atmosphere is on point, I felt genuine adrenaline at times.
Sound design is excellent.
Mimics are completely terrifying, its terrific. If you listen closely enough you can hear them breathe.

With a bit of tweaking this could be an amazing title, but for now it will gather dust.

its only a couple hours long, and the constant rug-pull time jumps are frustrating as hell

Another promising VR title that developers completely wrecked for no reason. The campaign path is long and tedious, big open areas, littered with the same enemy with 0 visual variation. Waypoints are so far apart i usually get bored and quit before reaching them.
The level up mechanic is also incredibly slow and tedious. your STR, DEX, and INT gain experience based on what attacks you use. so to get ANYWHERE with spellcasting, you are spamming 1.5 damage spitballs at 20hp+ enemies until your int is 14!

The developers can pound sand for both their pricing changes and intentionally spread-thin content.
