The combat SUCKS it's NOT FUN but I'd still say it's worth playing for the amazing bosses. To be honest though this game never really comes back up outside of the orphanage existing so you can skip it if you really can't be bothered to drop 20 hours on what's widely considered the worst game in the series.

This games entire story hinges on a single notion (a robots code is equal to a human soul) and if you don't believe that virtually nothing in this game works. Had a few good scares and a semi interesting world but absolutely not worth $30.

In all honesty it's just a worse version of the original with less cool mechanics, rather useless new stories that don't make sense in the context of the game, and needless lore that muddles the story, all for $15. Not worth it.

Flat out do not recommend without mods. Base game maps are not enough and singleplayer SUCKS.

With mods? This game is extremely fun, and well worth the cost. Only caveat is that you're somewhat at the mercy of the modding scene with what song maps exist, other than that a must own for VR.

This game is an asset flip that exists solely to justify why Kiryu returned after 6 wrote him out. It's only 5 chapters long and all of the characters are rushed and uninteresting, all of the minigames are reused (Pocket Circuit, Arcade Games from LJ, etc.), and the soundtrack is oddly middling outside of a few tracks.

Graphically it's better than 7 but continues the long running track of Dragon Engine games always looking worse than the last, with this games being noticeably uglier than Lost Judgment while also having way less effort put into the presentation, with very few prerendered cutscenes as well as a general lack of polish all around.

The story is just not that good. Most of the new characters don't land that well save maybe Hanawa, Nishitani III is just a weird retcon of Nishitani being a lineage as apposed to a single guy which falls flat, Shishido would have been cool if he was in a full game and wasn't telegraphed as the big bad from moment 1 because of how short the game is, and every returning character is just their Yakuza 7 scenes save for Watase who apparently got stabbed before the speech (this literally does not matter at all idk why they did that).

New Karaoke song is good, and the scene at the end with the kids got me to tear up a bit, but that's only really because of the context from Yakuza 6 (also you never see Haruka wtf).

All in all this game simply did not need to exist and it sucks that this is Kiryu's last game now. Yakuza 6 wasn't a perfect game but it was a much better ending for him than this. Not worth $50, wouldn't buy it for any more than $20.

Hands down the best DBZ game in regards to recreating the anime. very fun and faithfully recreates the world and show very well. the DLCs are also good if a bit pricey.

would recommend on sale. the story is not good but the game itself is a quaint experience and if you like fnaf post 4 you'll like this one.

a nice simple set of games. not too hard and a neat world for those who care. i liked them.

got it on sale, worth it for like 5-10 bucks. but otherwise buy remake it's better.
