Yay! Wacky yet compelling story! Illustrative expression! Physics puzzles! If you think about it, it's pretty much Japanese Half Life 2 for Kidz.

Incredible OST, great platforming, and wonderfully expressive environmental/wordless storytelling. Release the OST for us to buy!!!

As someone who grew up in a modern religious family, who is also experienced in game design, I have a lot of respect for this game. It does a really good job of obscure narrative design, and incredible world building, that gives a good feel to the gameplay. It is very strange, and definitely not for the faint of heart, unless of course you really want an overwhelming experience. But this really is Hollow Knight tier design- well, almost. I will admit it isn't quite as good at metroidvania since we don't really progressively get new abilities heavily tied to gameplay and level design, but the gameplay variation in this aspect is integrated more into the level design itself, which is a nice thing.

While I reccomend Blasphemous heavily, I'd also say it's very particular, so while you shouldn't be afraid to try it, even if you like the gameplay you might still be caught off guard by it's identity.

So supa dupa relaxing and cute! Some really interesting unique mechanics in here, cute little mechanically implemented story beats; good for stress relief. I'ma wait till later to give a more in-depth analysis.

I just needed to come back and say that I've NEVER found a platformer better than this my whole life. Not kidding. SCREW pixel perfectness, SCREW super meatboy and all that weird inorganic cbt, SCREW mario and all those corporate products with no interesting tech that isn't literally completely insane, and SCREW all games with interesting movement mechanics that don't use them well! The only other games I've been able to enjoy in any way close to this game are weird obscure metroidvanias like Environmental Station Alpha.

I love this game, a LOT. I used to play it during class in high school, it even runs on a laptop. You literally have no reason not to get this, and if you're bad, either at Celeste or platformers, the whole theme of the game is overcoming adversity! It's a gold standard of accessibility. Come on guys, you HAVE to pick it up.
