The game that smashes what the first one did and did it 10 times better.
The main storyline of the game is covering the integrity of the first two seasons of the Anime, from the perspective of your own created character (which is the best thing ever imo, to have a character make their own mark). And the Final Battle DLC covers the 3rd season, from the view of multiple other real characters of the anime (some view it as a downside of why the custom character's story doesnt continue that way but judging that the 3rd season released AFTER the story of the character was made through to the end, it makes sense, but still, a nice addition to the game to add more game time and cover more of the story).
Scout Missions add a nice little more time to the gameplay and getting to know other characters by playing (and adds a narrative-breaking moment. If you manage to get Bertholdt in your team, he can use his Colossal Titan powers)
The only downside is the game's initial pretty steep price, but at a sale, the final battle version is affordable and also a good experience for all the fans of the series
