Initial Review (Rundown 4):
I bought this fully expecting to fail very hard.
I did not only just fail extremely hard, but had fun playing.
Having a team of friends to play with makes this so much more enjoyable.
And for those people who don't have friends to play with, the discord community is quite active and it is easy to find people to play with or potentially become friends with.
It has a lot of room for learning, once you get to beating the more difficult levels, you realize you have much more to learn in the iceberg known as GTFO.

Edit (Rundown 5): So the new rundown released, here are my thoughts. It. Is. Difficult. If you're picking this game up for the first time, good luck. It is more challenging than the last rundown and you do have to be more mindful of your resources. If you feel like your flashlight is obscuring your vision, that is intentional. That's all I can say without spoiling anything else in the game for newcomers.
If you haven't already, I also recommend joining the GTFO discord server where you can find other players to play with.
Good luck out there.

Edit 2 (1.0 release / Rundown 6):
So this rundown has brought upon some new features and balancing. Here's my thoughts on it. They added bots! For those of you that don't have any friends, it is now possible to have bots fill in as teammates. I mean, they get the job done. You can tell them to use their utility or follow you, as far as I know.
This rundown also seems a bit easier for the first levels of each 'tier'.. They seem to have decided to pack a bunch more story/lore into this rundown.
One thing I noticed, you can no longer infinitely sprint as doing so will raise your pulse and inevitably you'll become as slow as a snail trying to run away. Having a maximized pulse means you will not regenerate health and will have a walk speed/sprint speed de-buff.
Jumping, Sprinting, Swinging your melee weapon, will raise your pulse.
This rundown has also added a checkpoint system where you are able to start from a checkpoint if you get to one when you fail. Mixed feelings about that so far as it seems to break *some* objectives. Mostly the secondary ones.
The level design definitely improved this rundown. That's all I'd like to say to not spoil anything about the levels.
Good luck and happy exploring.
