PLAY THIS GAME! (This is a very long review, brace yoursleves.)
Intense from the very start, but the game still has a calming feel to it. Part of the soundtrack is from the beautiful artist, Syd Matters (go check him out, his music is quite mellow), and the attention to detail is great. The characters begin to mean so much to you, and you start to appreciate your life so much more. I know this game changed my life, it changed my views on it, it taught me empathy, it told me how much I mean to the world, and how much I need to take care of the people around me.
From just one game.
I know you're probably thinking, "Oh, a video game can't do all that."
Well think again.
I used to care a lot about what people thought about me. But now, I realize that there's much more to life than just fitting in. It's being happy and making the people around you happy, and looking back on your life when you're eighty and remembering all the crazy fun experiences you had had.
I used to hate my stepfather. But now I realize that he cares about me more than I originally thought. And that without him, I wouldn't be as safe as I am.
I always thought the world was ugly (society, pollution, disaster, etc.), but now I realize that it's more beautiful than I thought. (MCR anyone? No? Ahem, okay.)

You get emotionally attached to the characters, so it's a heartwrenching moment when someone is in any kind of pain.

The twists in this game are unbelieveable.

You can't expect a Skyrim, but the design is quite beautiful.

Turtles are swell.

So grab the tissues, ice cream, and get a huge quilt,
you'll be at the screen for a while.

Emily is Away is a great game. Though not much detail was put into it, I love the way it was set up somewhat like Skype. And the feels! It's heartbreaking.
Get the ice cream and try not to yell at the screen.
It won't change much.
