Is more content coming?
UPDATE: Content never came.
It's been over a year now, really bare bones game that's pretty thrown together, visually ugly.
Shame, could have been good.. But if you want a new lightgun game, there isn't really many other options...

Huge stuttering problem on 3080 makes this game unplayable. Will have to refund if patch doesn't come soon to fix. Not acceptable for a game this big. Even with graphics at lowest settings the stutter is still unbearable.

Not only the best co-op game i've played but possibly the best platformer i've played.
The game has basically no fat, it's just constantly giving to the player, every advancement feels like a reward, it made me feel like a child again, people say the platformer genre is dead, this is proof it just needed to be updated and modernised.

The only negative thing I can say is that the story is pretty ham fisted and mediocre.
The game is a 10/10 the story is a 6/10

Really solid VR game. Needs multiplayer.

- the levels so far have been kind of samey
- the human ai is ridiculously bad but i kind of wouldnt want it to be good
its like they are all blind
they cant see 1 meter in front of them
i went up to one
and shot them in the head point blank 3 times and they didnt die i thought i wasn't meant to kill them
but it turned out i was. they just had extra health for some reason, i think it was a glitch
i went into this house
and killed this whole group of people 1 by 1.
but it made no sense
like id sometimes kill one right next to another person
and they wouldn't react at all
they had no sense of the sounds around them, they wouldn't react if one of their mates was killed they would just stand still until you engaged them in a fight.
sometimes they would react
but for the most part they were legit dumber than the zombies
actually dumber than the zombies
the zombies would react to me if i'm ages away and being quite
the humans u go up to them and shoot their friend and they dont react
and u have to be so close to them for them to attack u usually
- its also kind of annoying they have guns but whenever u kill them their gun instantly breaks..
i understand from a game design point of view why its like that, it'd be op to have all these guns, but its still dumb
like if i actually set them off they will have infinite ammo
but the second i kill them their gun breaks and they have zero ammo lol
- the weapons are really cool though
i really like how they feel
- how you interact with everything is really cool
- id almost like to see things fleshed out more
its a bit weird going into houses and there's just like dozens and dozens of glue bottles and lighters...
like how many lighters and glue do u need lmao
generally though where items were located made sense
and its really cool how you can interact with the items that do exist
- it feels like they did the absolute best they could but i wish they had a few extra million dollars of budget to flesh things out a bit more. Plz add co-op kk thanks.

No OCE Australian servers.
There should be rules for online only games that they publish what servers are available.
Everyone from america to england to japan seems packed into the same servers.
I don't understand how I check my ping, but I know it isn't good.
Asides from that it's a pretty basic fornite clone, the glide mechanics are fun, but there's not a whole lot here, 1 map, a few weapons, a banana, eh. If this wasn't VR it'd be instantly forgotten amongst all the other BR clones. It's a very casual shooter.

Early Access Review
Always be sceptical when a studio with no prior games releases into early access.
There is a good game hidden in here, but if they want to release it in this state then I have no choice but to review it in this state.

At it's best its a hard as nails stealth game that has a great UI and really does require teamwork more than any other co-op game i've played in a while. Communication and having a team of 4 is a must. I like the way waves are handled, instead of the random constant waves of L4D, GTFO has it's waves separated by rooms which allows to break up the fighting and give a moment to breathe.

At it's worse this game has all the flaws of an 'early access game' and more.
- No matchmaking is unacceptable for a game that REQUIRES 4 players
- Difficulty does not appear to scale, meaning you will have a very hard time getting through this with less than 4 players, if you want to go in solo FORGET ABOUT IT.
- Animations are bad, very buggy, low framerate, choppy, hard to read and feel unfair as a result.

GTFO has a lot of promise, but it's one of those games I don't feel a 'pull' to come back to.
Every time I beat a level I have this feeling of 'thank god I never have to do that again'.
Releasing a game that requires co-op 4 play with none of the tools to make that easy and smooth (such as match making and voicechat) was a mistake. Be warned this is NOT a game for casual gamers.
