I have a more than 3000 hours in this game, so I can give you some info:

- It's really addictive
- First time you play it you will be bad at it
- But that makes it more fun, when you get better
- Other players will always be better than you (probably)
- It's incredibly fun when you play it with friends
- Active competitive scene
- You can throw away even more money at Valve because of the shiny skins
