I am not one for writing reviews of games, but it has to be said that this game truly is a masterpiece. Everything from the storytelling and voice acting to the visuals and game mechanics. It is all simply stunning. I have never had a game fully immerse me with such well developed characters that feel like their own unique person (though Mass Effect was comparable, BG3 is on another level). Even though this game uses the D&D mechanics, it is super-easy to pick up. And even if you make a mistake, you can always respec your character in-game or even respec your companions. Here are some reasons to play this game:

• If you love to ♥♥♥♥ around and find out.
  
• If you want to explore and learn the deep lore found within in this world.
  
• If you want a challenging combat experience, (play the game in tactician mode).
  
• If you want a laid back story experience to relax to after a hard day, (play the game in explorer mode).
  
• If you want something in-between, (play the game in balanced mode).
  
• If you want to ♥♥♥♥ a bear?

Seriously though, of all the half-baked semi-playable garbage that developers have released for more than $60 (or released at $60 but the rest of the game is behind DLC), this game stands out like a jewel from the gods. Thank you Larian Studios for making this labor of love!
