I can't wholeheartedly recommend this yet because it's still in early access and there are a couple issues to be ironed out, especially in terms of balance and the endgame. Still, I want to say that in the state it's in right at this moment I think it's everything that was missing from Civ: BE and it feels like it has much more room to grow.

The DLC campaign is really good, the original was was sort of meh. Solid and enjoyable overall.

Buy this game if you would like to achieve samsara.

This game's pretty good if you just want to run around and shoot some mans. The free to play model isn't bad and you can totally get by without spending money for quite a while -- eventually you'll probably want to buy extra inventory slots, but if you get to that point you'll be like 50 hours in and you should probably give 'em a tip anyway.
