pretty darn good for an early access idler. starts off deceptively simple, but keeps adding layers. i enjoy fine-tuning the automation upgrades to make the game auto-play as efficiently as possible. the current content is pretty good, and i'm expecting new systems and layers to be added down the line, hopefully this grows into something that can maybe come close to the awesomeness that is WAMI and FAPI.
my only real complaint is that the shop is absurdly extensive (9 repeatable stat boost upgrades, 5 "time boost" upgrades, and 8 skins) and potentially extremely expensive if you want to buy a lot of stuff. $20 will get you maybe 10-15 upgrades. i know the guy has to make a buck, but geez... this is like mobile game levels of predatory shop items. the starter pack for $5 is a good deal, however. and thankfully, you can play for free and experience everything without painful progress-halting walls (at least none i've encountered as of yet). i threw $5 at it because it's worth at least that much in its current state. we shall see how things develop going forward.

fantastic port. runs great on my machine. the game is every bit as good as the first so far, even better in fact. it lacks that sense of "what the heck is going on?" that the first game had, but otherwise it's better in every way. npc animations are so much better than in HZD, there are cool environmental puzzles to solve, the controls are much more customization for kbm, side quests are better, and have great rewards, dialogue is better and had me laughing out loud several times (some of the npcs are ridiculous and it's funny the way Aloy does not put up with their nonsense), combat is stellar as it was in HZD, the open world is crafted with more care and there is a lot to do and explore. so far it exceeds the first in every way except the sense of mystery. oh, i do have one minor irritation - i cannot imagine why but Aloy can't whistle to pull enemy aggro while hidden. maybe she gains that ability later (i hope?) which doesn't really make any sense which is why i fear they removed it. but, other than that i'm very happy.

i have 45 games in my Steam solitaire game collection. +1/-1 solitaire games are one of my favorite ways to chill out. of those 45 games, Winterscapes 2 is by far the best. the visuals and audio are perfect, there is a TON of content to play through, and there are multiple innovations that are very enjoyable. the super-size levels, quests, challenge levels, sliding levels, and match-2 variants are an excellent addition to this game. if you enjoy +1/-1 solitaire, this game is the king. i hope we get more like this in the future.

i usually wait for these kinds of games to go on sale for less than $5, as the playtime is so short. but this one is easily worth the full price. there is a lot of content here.

i got this because i heard that it was vampire survivors meets diablo. and that's pretty much a perfect description. so far, i actually like this better than vampire survivors. i like the pacing and the atmosphere better. the 3 classes i have unlocked so far all play very differently, are equally enjoyable, and can be built different ways.. great skill system and leveling system. i like how each stat/skill feels like it matters a lot forcing you to balance offense and defense. well worth $5 and highly recommended.

as an old-school fps gamer who played this back on release day, and who ran a website reviewing 100+ user created maps - i absolutely adore this remaster/re-release. i've never had this much fun playing Q2. the original campaign with new stuff added in, both expansions, the N64 version (which is pretty much a whole different game), engine upgrades, and a new campaign as well - all for FREE since i already own Q2 on Steam?!? this is beyond incredible. if you don't already own it, $10 is a ridiculously low price to pay for the amount of awesome content you get here. if you already own it - play it again, if not then buy it. this is a masterpiece from the founding fathers of fps gaming.

portal 1 was great. portal 2 was even better. this... this is just bad. i don't know if it's intentional design, or bad design, but the puzzles seem "off" somehow. like they are intentionally irritating. you know what you need to do, but it just doesn't work. additionally, you seem to exit portals with things flipped 180 degrees from what you would expect. momentum feels off, the puzzles feel finicky, fiddly... or something that just feels wrong... i don't know, it just doesn't feel like portal. i'm glad it was free so i don't have to get a refund.

Oni has done it again. WAMI is my favorite incremental game of all time. and FAPI has the potential to be just as good if not better. even in early access this game is vastly superior to most other idle games out there.

a mellow, whimsical, slow paced game featuring some nice artwork. it's a light hidden object / puzzle hybrid that's relaxing and fun. there were a couple of moment where i needed a guide for an obtuse puzzle, or a puzzles that my brain just didn't sync with. but i did 98% of it myself and i really enjoyed this short sweet journey.

Last Epoch hits the sweet spot between Grim Dawn & Path of Exile. Exile is great, but can be overwhelming. Grim Dawn is also great, but has a dated engine and minimal multiplayer support. Last Epoch is gorgeous, has an engaging story, a lengthy campaign, and perhaps the most well planned-out skill system of any arpg, ever. it's far deeper than Wolcen or D3, but just as easy to understand and work with. the build variety pertaining to skills is fantastic. i'm not far enough in yet to say much about itemization, but so far, so good. i love the in-game item filter UI.

PoE is a blast, but the insane skill tree and brutally complex crafting force me to follow guides - i just don't have the time to sink into it that it requires. Last Epoch, on the other hand, seems like i could create my own builds, having fun experimenting without step-by-step hand-holding from a guide. i love that you have a skill-tree for each of your skills. that's a brilliant idea.

it's still early, but Last Epoch is looking to be my new favorite arpg, dethroning Grim Dawn and PoE. i'm looking forward to full release and multiplayer. this game just might turn out to be what i had hoped Wolcen would be: bug-free, fun, deep but not overly complex, with great graphics, a compelling end game, and a good online community.
