3 hours in, and so far, so good.

this is a steal for the price. excellent build diversity, fast and really really fun gameplay, serviceable graphics and sound, crazy amounts of loot to sift through, good sense of humor, tons of UI & QoL customizations. i cannot believe that one guy made this on his own, and that the price is so low. if you like arpgs at all, then just get it.

had 3 crashes in 5 hours before the patch. have had 0 crashes in 3 hours after the patch.
it's very early, but so far i am thoroughly enjoying this game. it's a beautiful open world with excellent writing, great audio design, fun combat, and plenty of heart and humor. it's like a combination of two of my favorite games: skyrim and tomb raider.

update: i finished the game with zero crashes since my original review. this game has moved up to be in my top 5 or 10 games of all time. exceptional story, excellent combat, great audio design and soundtrack, great voice acting, beautiful open world, lots of heart... just fun in all the right ways. i loved every minute of it. new game+ is in my future for sure.

this is a fairly basic idle/incremental game. after the first few hours i've spent most of my time offline, checking in a few times a day to upgrade units. it's very well polished, and has a little depth and would be a great place for people new to this style of game to get their feet wet, but as for me it's not very engrossing, although i do find it mildly entertaining.

this is the best idle game i've ever played (and i've played a lot). it's very deep and complex, but it introduces each new concept so gradually that it's never overwhelming - the learning curve is excellent. just when you feel like you have everything down, a new part of the game opens up and it's back to figuring new strategies out, trial and error, and fun. after 53 days of playing very regularly i feel like i'm maybe near the end of the early game.

the game is definitely free to play, you never feel like you have to spend money. however, if you wish to there is an in-game currency (souls) that can be purchased to buy in-game QoL improvements and items to speed your progress. you do, however, gain a decent amount of souls for free every day. i gladly paid $10 to support the devs, who update the game very frequently and are actively adding new content.

there is an in-game chat that is really nice. i've asked a few questions and always received quick, friendly advice. i've also learned a lot by lurking and reading discussions by players who are much further along than i am.

a list of other idle games that i've played (but not enjoyed nearly as much as WAMI): clicker heroes 1&2, AdCap and AdCom, ItRtG, zombidle, holyday city, king midas, swarm, wild west saga, god awefull clicker, soda dungeon, idle champs of forgotten realms, crusaders of the lost idols, time clickers.

as far as cons go - it's hard to complain about this game. the graphics are weak, but you don't play idle/incremental games for their looks. there are some aspects of game-play that are a bit difficult to figure out - however, you can always ask for help in chat, and personally i enjoy the fun of figuring things out on my own so while this may be a con for some, it's mostly a positive for me.

if you like idle games even the tiniest bit, definitely try this one out. it's free, so there's nothing to lose.

This is a very unique and fun idle/clicker that has quickly become one of my favorites. There's a lot to do if you wish to play actively, much more than any other clicker i've played. The devs update the game frequently, answer questions quickly, and interact with the players and make changes to the game based on their input. Well worth the (free) price. I made a $10 purchase in-game to support the devs. Highly recommended.

I'm disappointed to see that this game has "mixed" reviews. It's a really fun ARPG with a good story, tons of secrets, fun combat, a great sense of humor, beautiful enviornments, interesting optional content (chimera missions, TD, commander missions), a decent loot system (with essences and enchantments), and good (and frequently hilarious) voice acting.

this game certainly isn't perfect or life changing, but if you enjoy arpgs (Diablo, Grim Dawn, Sacred, Torchlight, etc.) then you really can't go wrong with this title.

having finished Adventure Captialist over a year ago, and not really liking Adventure Communist, i was thrilled to recently discover this game. it has all of the features that i loved in AdCap, but presented in a much more refined manner. you can tell the devs studied AdCap, learned from its flaws, and then made a better, more balanced, more fun, much more feature-rich version. if you enjoyed AdCap. you should love Holyday City Reloaded.

a fun idle/clicker game. it's got more in common with Adventure Capitalist than with Clicker Heroes, but it's not a clone of either. i like the interesting features like pets, raids, champions, events, and the research tree.

i've put a lot of time into AdCap, Clicker Heroes, Zombidle, AdCom, and many others - and this is one of my favorites.
give it a try, there's nothing to lose.

Definitely on my top-10 all-time favorite ARPG list. I like it better than Titan Quest, Van Helsing, and the Sacred & Torchlight games. Equal to or better than PoE (blasphemy, I know), Diablo 1, 2 & 3 and Darkstone.

I enjoy the setting, the extensive lore, the multitude of secrets, the incredibly detailed environments, the soundtrack (though I wish there were a lot more songs in it) the combat, the loot, and the creative Devotion system; heck I enjoy most every aspect of this game. My few complaints would be that some boss mosters are a bit OP, and after easily wading through the corpses of every trash mob in the area, a boss pack can spawn that kills me repeately before I manage to take it down; at times the level design layout can be a bit confusing; and there is no was to respec attribute points - even Diablo 2 lets you do it once per dificulty level.

You get a LOT of gameplay for your buck with Grim Dawn, and with a large expansion on the way it easy to say that everyone who enjoys a good ARPG ought to play Grim Dawn. This game ought to sit near the top of any respectable list of top ARPGs.
