It hurts me to review it like this, but this game is grade A trash in my opinion. The gunplay is floaty and feels like crap, suppression doesn't seem to do much, its a lot of sprinting and turning fast to shoot people, the list goes on. No dedicated servers, which means huge wait times. I was looking forward to what this game would become since I bought it back in the Post Scriptum days, but nothing good has happened to it. Just straight up unfun if youre looking for a game like squad.

The best casual shooter Ive played since COD 4. Great gun handling, fun mechanics, good hit reg, cant wait to see what else is in store.

This game hits all the buttons for me. The same buttons that X-COM, Xenonauts, Jagged Alliance, the Close Combat games, and the Combat Mission games all hit. The guns feel and sound good, planning has to be extensive and efficient, there is a real sense of weight to your soldiers actions, and the level generation is thoughtfully designed to keep me guessing every time I play. The persistent death of squad members (who may have had valuable skills before their expiration) and the HP system makes it a real choice who to send in and what equipment to give them. The fatigue also makes it so you cant keep deploying your favorite squaddie over and over again, and creates a careful balance with spreading your skills out as evenly as you can. Planning an entire raid beforehand and watching helplessly as the cards fall where they may is a certain kind of itch I didnt know I needed to scratch. It takes all the tension out of it and lets me relax as I plan, and then sit back and enjoy the ride. I dont feel rushed and I dont feel the sense of urgency + adrenaline that stops me from playing tactical games after work or when I want to wind down. If youre a fan of old school tactical games or just want to jump into the genre, this game is a fantastic place to do either. Its only going to have more added, the developer is communicative, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Im surprised a game made for 10 year olds with zero depth has made it this far with such overwhelming acceptance. But now that I'm done hating on DOTA, this game is also a massive waste of time and I dont understand why anyone finds it enjoyable. Did no one ever play card games like Mafia as a kid? This is that, but with less fun and social interaction

Rising Storm 2 is more than just the successor to RO2/RS. It has completely changed the game and improved upon the originals so much its hard to go back. RO2's launch was a damn mess. RS2 has continualy been updated and the devs have stayed in touch with the community. The game has a roadmap you can view for development, and everything they have promised they have delivered on. I am impressed beyond belief with the support this game has recieved, both from the devs and the playerbase, which is larger than its ever been in the RO series.

Just about everything everyone who played RO2 speculated about has been put into practice. For years any kind of Viet Nam mod had been dead in the water for so long, the community had practically forgotten about it. And then RS2 started releasing videos. AKs, RPGs, M16s, Huey drops and Cobra strikes, the Dskh HMG, traps, tunnels, and tons of dense jungle combat. I was skeptical at first, RS2 didn't have a seamless release. There were serious bugs and hit reg was absolutely terrible. But they fixed it in a couple months, and haven't stopped fixing it and adding things since.

This game will test your situational awareness, your knowledge of cover/concealment, what you thought you knew aboput ballistics, and how many times you thought it was possible to die in one game. Perservere, ask veteran players questions, watch what they do, always give your machinegunner ammo and move slowly. If you do even some of those things at the beggining, you'll probably be fine. This game is small scale and large scale strategic teamwork, rolled into one, It is imcredibly rewarding, and you'll notice the impact certain people have on the battlefield. I can't say enough good things about the game, its one of the most unique shooters I've ever played. Wtach some videos if you're still in doubt.

If you're looking for something a little more realistic than Insurgency or Battlefield, but you don't want to play ARMA, definitely check out Rising Storm 2.

Edit: Well, now I can't say ♥♥♥♥ about the devs supporting this game. Antimatter was bought out and this game is no longer going to be updated. It's still fun, but now its going to die a low death over the next 5 or so years.

All Guns on Deck is a fun time-killer that is still being developed. It reminds me of a lot of good Flash Games I used to play, but with another added layer of depth and difficulty. Deciding Which Crew to have where feels slightly like FTL, as you have to man differnt stations with different crew to be effective. The gameplay is rather simple, point and shoot the big bad flying things, but its satisfying. The weapons and upgrade system is well fleshed out for such a small game, and I can't wait to see that be developed further.

So far I would definitely recommend this game to anyone who just needs a fun time-wasting game with some strategy to it. Will update as I play more.

I went in expecting an increibly fun, sadistic, and over the top isometric shooter. Hatred delivers exactly that. The game is somewhat difficult even on easy, but once you get the hang of gunpay it becomes second nature. The destruction is beautiful, my jaw dropped the fist time I kicked in the door of a house and subsequently threw a high explosive grenade in the living room. Walls can be shot through, most cover can be destroyed, and Michael Bay seems to have left all of his extra set pieces lying around the levels which adds a lot to the destruction. Gunplay feels wonky at first, I definitely wouldn't recommend with a controller, but as I said I had no problem using corners and doorways and windows for cover once I figured it out (Shooting through walls to make murder holes for yourself is great too). I beat the game in 3-4 hours on easy, but even though I had most of the "sidequests" I still wanted to see more. How many limbs can I take off with one shotgun shell? How many cars can I daisy chain together in an explosion? These qusetions I was yearning to find the answer to. I have kept playig once in a while (Yeah I know its been out 10 days) and it has still been fun as hell to cause mayhem. The levels are massive and have a lot to them, exploration via murder spree is a fun part of the game. Lots of goodfies lying around for those who do like to wander around.

Everything considered, Hatred is definitely worth it on sale, I paid 20 and was happy, but then again its my kind of game. If you enjoyed Postal 2 AND Fallout 2 you'll probably enjoy the wonderful sadism this game has to offer. Sue me, its fun to let off steam.

I found the game to be rather addicting; its short, has good music, well done art and backrounds. There isnt that much too it but its worth checking out if you've got a few bucks burning a hole in your pocket.

Great game to zone out to and relax. My ADHD loves the fact that its a puzzle game with movey floaty pieces that you have to pick out, it keeps me still for a bit. As others have said, the bamboo tipping sound can be relaxtion-interrupting, but other than that, creative, relaxing, enjoyable game I would recommend to anyone who needs to chill. Definitely plan on playing more of it.
