I mean just look at my hours. After I lost interest in TF2 this was my go-to hero shooter for a long time. There is stuff to like here. Most characters are fun and the game looks nice. There are however major balancing issues ESPECIALLY when new characters are added. Like most F2P games what they do is add crazy overpowered characters so people will spend real money to get them quick, then nerf the character when they "notice" they are overpowered.

There are several major bugs in this game that have not been fixed after YEARS. Also, I have an ultrawide monitor and can only play this game with 2 massive black bars. I have complained about this to Hi-Rez many times with ZERO improvements after many years.

Ranked is a joke. It takes like 10 minutes to find a game, by that point at least 2 players are AFK and/or you are stuck with a character you don't want to play. Why play ranked anyway? There is no real reward for it. 3000 hours out of my 3100 are in casual. If you want to drink a beer while playing a okay-ish hero shooter for free, this is it. Other than that, no.

Being Dutch and therefor probably 1 of the very few people that plays this game in my country, the lack of Dutch players and the Netherlands not being in the T20 World Cup mode despite them being in the last one and the upcoming one is a big fail for me.

There are also some BIG issues with how players behave. When the batsman hits the ball straight ahead the bowler never tries to stop the ball even when it rolls right by him. When the batsman hits the wicket on the other side it's not given as an out. Batsmen will swing at the air in the completely wrong place. Short balls are impossible to hit because the batsman will never raise his bat high enough no matter what shot you are telling him to make.

Taking wickets seems to be completely at random and has nothing to do with how well you bowl or what bowling style you use. Fielders will let high balls bounce before they grab them even when they are right underneath the ball and it should be an easy wicket. Fielders also start running well after the ball has been struck so they usually are too late to stop a ball from getting to the boundary. Fielders also have no clue where the boundary is and will grab the ball and then casually walk over the boundary with it. There doesn't seem to be any animations for fielders to throw a ball back before they step over the rope.
The commentary is repetitive and at times completely wrong.
Run outs are impossible when you are fielding. The fielder will throw the ball way too slow to actually hit the wicket in time or even worse, will throw the ball at some random fielder somewhere else entirely. I have played for over 20 hours now and had ZERO run outs.
I also had Steve Smith going out because he stepped over the line well after the ball had been caught by the WK and you have 0 input possibilities to make him stay behind the line. I even yelled: WHAT ARE YOU DOING and he just walked away from the wicket and was run out.
LBW is never called by the umpire unless you review it.

Now there are positives. The customization is extensive in Career mode. Kits, gear, name and logo of your team, player names, everything can be made as you want it. I obviously chose to play in the Dutch league where random Dutch cities suddenly have cricket teams they don't have in real life and they even play first class cricket which is completely absurd but I can forgive that. The fact that the Netherlands is even in this game should be noted as a plus. The number of licensed teams, players and competitions is pretty good but the IPL being not fully licensed would be a problem for a lot of Indian cricket fans no doubt. Visually the game also looks pretty good and a lot of the big players are instantly recognizable. The umpires could need some work. I feel like some of them are just reused looks from random players.

There is a lot to like here and I had some genuinely exciting moments in the game but cricket is all about rules and when the game doesn't follow these, it becomes a major problem. I don't understand how you can make a cricket game and not be absolutely sure that all aspects of the game are correct. For all its flaws, EA at least doesn't make a football game where a defender shoots the ball over the sideline and his team is given a throw in. That would be inexcusable. So is a cricket game where the wicket has fallen and the players just keep running and the WK is trying to knock the invisible stumps. I feel like a lot of these flaws are not even that difficult to fix. This sport deserves better and I WILL change my review if Big Ant actually fixes these things.

The AI of your teammates is beyond dumb. You can't switch manually to the player you want so you are constantly looking around who you are even controlling. They let balls go by them even though 1 step in would stop the cross, defenders walk on the wings when the other team is attacking through the center, the story is generic and unskippable, shots from 3 meters out at max power still land right between the hands of the goalkeeper, upon pitch entry the players jitter all around. It's just bad, really really bad. I didn't even try the multiplayer and I'm not going to. Refund request is out. Shame but this was a total bust.

A great card game, the look and feel will appeal to anyone even remotely interested in WW2 army stuff. I only have a passing interest in it and love it. They even give extra information on the sounds and images they use to explain why they are significant.

Gameplay wise it's a mixed bag. The starter decks are okay and will probably be fine to defeat AI opponents. Sadly doing so doesn't help you much in creating a stronger deck. AI wins don't give you any progression bonuses other than the daily missions which are peanuts compared to a win against a real life opponent. The matchmaking doesn't seem balanced because you will usually encounter players dropping gold cards you have never even seen before. It does make winning feel great once it finally happens and you will be able to buy some stronger cards without spending real money fairly quickly. Building an entire deck of monster cards will be a very long grind or a hefty payment though.

The recently released single player campaign DLC is ridiculously overpriced at 30 dollars. Despite only having played for about 3 weeks now I would be inclined to maybe drop 10 dollars on the DLC but 30 is absurd.

It's free to play, if you like WW2 military history, give it a shot. You could even just stick to the AI matches just for the sound effects, animations, music and atmosphere. It's really not that bad.

So this was written after I had about 100 hours into the game. Considering how many hours I have in it now I clearly like it, a lot. Its just my go to game to play while I'm watching youtube videos or something. They have added a lot of features to the game since my review and that is mostly good. I do feel like some decks are just impossible to beat like a Soviet light infantry deck where your opponent will just spam cheap units they can upgrade with no feasible tactic working on it unless you know you are gonna face such an opponent and you tailored an entire deck to it.

I have put in so many hours I never spend a cent on the game and I own all the cards. The game does push paid content a lot with recently adding an outrageously expensive battle pass as well. It's a free game so if you can forgive the game for it, it's a no-brainer to play.

A perfect balance between tactics and action, sadly not played by many people but even as a single player game it delivers several hours of good gameplay. Recommended, especially at the price it usually goes for.

This honestly is a very pleasant surprise. I usually loathe card games but gave this a try because I love Star Trek. The game looks great and the many characters, ships and phrases will delight you if you also love the show. The meat of the deal: I think the battles are challenging and ranked matches can be very one sided. Once your opponent has the upper hand, you will be in trouble and have to have a very good deck to overcome the odds. Building a deck with good cards is a problem; the better cards are expensive as hell with the in game currency latium. A single legendary card costs 1500 latinum, and you should consider yourself lucky if you managed to get more than 300 latinum in a week, with a lot of hours of play. Daily challenges can give you a card pack which can also drop a legendary, but come on. If you want to unlock a new class, it's also really expensive and will require hours of grinding, or obviously, real money. I feel like some classes are clearly better than others which will frustrate you in online play. Still, if you like Star Trek and strategy games, this is a great title to try out. I didn't spend any money on it and neither should you, the classes are clearly so expensive to force you to buy them instead of grind for them, a game that does that doesn't deserve your money.

Stick to AI battles for the first week or so to build up a deck. The unlocked classes you get at the start are decent enough to grab some wins after that in online play. Again, expect some frustration though. You aren't pitted against other new players but players with a similar rank. Someone who has won 45 matches and lost 47 will have roughly the same rank but a waaaay better deck.

Where to start. Buy it. The comedy is on point, the story is generic but works perfectly and most characters are amazingly written. The main exception being Claptrap who was lovable in Borderlands 1 but was turned into an arrogant, self-centered, condescending jerk in this sequel. What a blunder. Lilith, Moxxi, Tina, Tannis, Brick, Roland, Jack, the list goes on with great characters. Even without the DLC there is roughly 80 hours of top notch gameplay to be had here. Where Borderlands 1 often felt empty and 'dead', this sequel has NPC's, animals and nature responding to everything around them. Vibrant is the word that comes to mind. Nuff said, it's less than 10 bucks, get it.

I gotta be honest, I was skeptical about this game. First of all, I've never read the book or watched any of the Alice in Wonderland movies. I was afraid a lot of the characters and symbolism would be lost on me, and they probably did. Secondly, horror is absolutely not my thing and I was expecting this to be full of dark hallways with cheap jumpscares and other stuff I loathe in horror games. BUT: Alice: Madness Returns is actually a well done platformer with some fairly straightforward fighting elements. The controls are usually fluent and responsive and the puzzles are just challenging enough without becoming annoying. The worlds look amazing, especially the house of cards and underwater stages with psychedelic colors, creepy creatures and vast, vivid landscapes. Maybe once or twice the game was actually scary, but overall it was more of a creepy, psychedelic feel than a horror feel and I loved it. The plot is kinda confusing and I probably have to play it again to fully understand it but it was well presented with 2D and 3D cutscenes and stellar voice acting.
+Looks creepy and vivid
+Good platforming action
+Amazing soundtrack and voice acting
-Fighting usually does not feel very rewarding due to only having 4 weapons so you basically stick to 1 tactic.
-Camera can be annoying
-Absolutely atrocious framerate. 30~ FPS while platforming will drop down to a whopping 8 or even less during fight scenes with lots of effects on the screen, at times making it virtually unplayable.
-Bit short, I'm not a platform expert and finished it in 18 hours, a veteran could do it in 12. That's not much.
-Cheshire Cat, who I believe is a main character in the original story (again, don't know) is a useless cocky little ♥♥♥♥ that does absolutely nothing.

Overall an amazing game that's well worth a sale price like 5 bucks or less. Do look around for some ways to improve the framerate though, because sometimes it will be so bad the sound even starts stuttering, it's ridiculous. That I played through that major flaw shows how good I think it still is.

The game is pretty fun and the music is great but the gameplay gets boring very quick and the servers are dead. There are maybe 3 servers in the whole world that are full, the others are filled with bots which is no fun at all. Buy it if you have like 10 friends that already play it regularly, otherwise stay away.

Chivalry is not much. As in: it's a straightfoward game that doesn't offer anything new or groundbreaking. The gameplay is simple to understand but hard to master. For me it wasn't a game I could play for hours on end, but from time to time I come back to it and do enjoy it. It's a popular game which results in you not having any problem finding a server loaded with medieval warriors to slash to pieces. The classes could really use some tweaking, the archer for instance is way too underpowered and his various bows are pretty inaccurate (or I just suck at aiming). Can definitely recommend this for players who like first person non-stop slashing action. If you prefer intelligent strategy elements, look elsewhere. This game is in-your-face, straigtforward and gory action.
