Leiam Fate/stay night.

Plus R is not only the best entry in the Guilty Gear series to date, but also one of the greatest fighting games of all time. It's dynamic and mechanically unique, featuring an intriguingly deep and extremely freeform combo system.

The game does have some quite dominating and annoying characters to fight against (Zappa and Testament), but the overall roster is so diverse, so unique and so full of charisma that it's almost impossible not to fall in love with at least one of its 25 characters. It's my experience with Jam Kuradoberi, who ended up becoming my favorite character out of all fighting games.

And to top it off, it has THE BEST online environment currently available in a fighting game. Basically no other, not even those that also include rollback netcode, reach the same level of practicality and efficiency when it comes to finding multiplayer matches.

Guilty Gear Plus R is basically amazing through and through.

Beautiful and, at the same time, truly soul crushing. Featuring about 14 hours worth of reading, Tomoyo After is a story full of heart and, without a doubt, one of the best Key's productions.

To start off, the way the story is structured is quite nice. There are different arcs for each one of the characters throughout the visual novel, but, rather than everything being divided into multiple and separated routes, the story progresses in a linear and continuous manner. Also, the few decisions available to make only determine whether the reader is going to get one of the not too many Bad Ends or, in some very specific cases, alter a bit of the dialogue.

In Tomoyo After we are, just like in the original CLANNAD, immersed in the story of a family. Five people that met each other sometime during the course of their lives and that created extremely strong bonds together. They worry about and take care of one another in a profoundly authentic way.

It's thanks to the powerful connection between characters and the reader, built up for most of the reading, that the twist followed by the final act of the story is so impactful and well executed. What is revealed during the final sequence is a concern and deep empathy from part of the reader for the intensely painful and conflicting situation that the couple Tomoya Okazaki and Tomoyo Sakagami are facing. It's hard not to feel trapped together with the two inside the vicious cycle that surrounds them. It's distressing. It's despairing.

The fantansy of CLANNAD does not make its presence to guarantee the ending that everyone hopes for, but the message that the conclusion carries is overpowering, honest and truly touching.

"Now let's go.

The world is beautiful. And life is ever so magnificent.

It's a wonderful life!"

"Who did you expect at the end of all of this? God? The Devil, perhaps? No... it's just... me."

Dusk is one of the best games I've ever played and one that deserves to be at the top of any list of best FPS games of all time.

The game includes three episodes full of surprises and brilliant moments. The maps' design and atmosphere are both top-notch. And the ending... God, the ending. It's shivering, unexpected and fantastic.

Dusk is a master class in design. Everything it does, it does right. The unique and meticulously crafted levels; The vibrant combat; The extremely fast movement (that even features a 360° vertical rotation when jumping); The (fortunately) minimalist narrative, built in an organic way throughout the gameplay. All of those aspects mix together and take the form of one of the most extraordinary experiences of the last years. And even though the game is a throwback to the golden decade of First Person Shooters and takes a lot of inspiration from the big ones of that time, Dusk goes even further and makes sure to have a really strong sense of identity. Dusk is not Doom, it's not Quake, it's not Blood. Dusk is... Dusk.

And I can't forget to mention the incredible original soundtrack composed by Andrew Hulshult. Its beautiful melodies, haunting tunes and headbang-inducing tracks enhance the atmosphere and the combat of the game to a thoroughly high degree.

My only piece of criticism goes to the multiplayer mode called Duskworld (probably a reference to the old days of Quakeworld). Although it offers a very good experience thanks to its good maps and combat, it's still a bit barebones, providing only a standard free-for-all game mode. A leaderboard for the Endless mode would also be very welcome.

At the end of the day, every person should make sure to play Dusk. It's, after all, "indeed worthy".

A free, simple and short (it took me 4 hours to beat) RPG Maker game. And it's a great one at that. Eternal Senia provides an entertaining Action-RPG gameplay, fun boss battles, an amazingly beautiful soundtrack and a very engaging plot that comes with 3 different and interesting endings. Some dungeons, such as the last two, are simply great, introducing cool enemies to fight, nice bosses to defeat and good level desings. My only complaint goes to the game difficulty, that's kind of too easy even when fighting the bosses in the hardest difficulty.
