The only piracy to be had in this game is where the devs steal your money.

If you bought this to play with your friends, I hope you have better luck than I did. Doesn't seem like the fix is coming soon-- as the dev seems to just keep repeating the same advice (open firewall, restart computer, port forward) despite everyone telling them that it doesn't work. Save your money until this game actually works.

Don't buy this game. The developement is both in the wrong direction and moves at a turtle's pace. Games with half the funding and manpower have come so much further in less time than it's taken DayZ to get a decent framerate down-- and even then the desync is so bad you'll gun down an enemy and die three seconds later from their corpse still shooting you. Nevermind the "zombies" being broken. Nevermind the continuous broken core gameplay that hasn't been fixed in 3 years. Nevermind the grossly out of date dev roadmap.

Ignore the mountain of excuses the fanboys will come up with. There's nothing here that you couldn't get from playing the multitudes of better (FREE) mods for ARMA II and III. Seriously, look into those. Get the experience that made people fall in love with DayZ. Or go play actually decent EA games that have continuous development-- like Rust.

Perhaps when the game is finally finished it'll be worth checking into, and maybe I'll come back and change this review to positive. I guess we'll see in 2027.
