Has of 10 minutes ago, PlayStation announced on Twitter that they will no longer be requiring the PSN network account linking.

Helldivers 2 Is a very fun game to play with friends so I am changing my review to a Positive one in appreciation.
Thank you for listening to the players feedback on this issue.

Astral Party is not a finished game, and I'm surprised the devs thought it the right time to launch the game without even an early access tag to hide behind.

Astral Party has some nice character art.
Some nice card art sometimes.

That's about where the praise stops.

The rest of the art isn't good or is obviously unfinished. The UI is really bad and you can tell the loading screen animation is a place holder work in progress asset.
The English translation is reallllly rough.

Then you get to the gameplay...
There are a lot of questionable decisions here. To much for a steam review nobody will read.

One that really bothers me the most:
You can fight anyone when passing them (This is fine!)
But the defender has no ability to counter attack (????) So currently no reason not to attack every chance you can.

No deck to build. Cards are pretty boring (Current Attack lvl1-3 vs Defend lvl1-3 is bad design)
No card played history, so hope you are a speed reader.
Gatcha
A whole bunch of trash in the gatcha that's not explained.
No way to speed up the game and it plays so slowly.
Events (like lottery) will proc but no one has been able to get lottery tickets since the last round so it just waste time.
Did I mention bad UI?

A certain Orange colored Juice game is 100% better than Astral Party and so I recommend just playing that instead.

Furry Rating
  • Not Furry
  • Mildly Furry
  • Somewhat Furry
  • Rather Furry
  • >>Dangerously Furry
Not being one myself, this is the first game I've played and actively thought to myself, "Wow, this game is really furry."
This may be positive or negative depending on who you are. I have built up a resistance by repeated exposure to furry material over a long period of time thanks to friends.
---

The core of the game is excellent.
Movement/shields/drones/other all in a balance to defeat the enemy.
Each Character has a well defined area of expertise so they play differently and the ships are all very unique. All are viable, but some are definitely stronger than others with what they can do.
The different styles were fun. Maybe I wish it was a little easier to get a certain build going as RNG will dictate if you ever see the artifact/cards you need but that's the genre I suppose.

Nitpicks/Complaints:
-I feel there is a LOT of trash cards. There isn't a lot of locations to cut cards/upgrade your deck, so you need to focus on making the good cards better rather than picking up bad cards and upgrading them to be good.
-There are a few areas that feel rather lacking of cards (notably missiles! Enemy loves them but there is only one missile card*).
-There are a few random events and upgrades that will change the physical layout of the ship, but they are rare and I'm surprised that ship customization wasn't expanded up on more. Toss out the drone bay for something for example.
-Not a whole lot of enemy variety: the 3 bosses will always been the same three bosses with no variation, and you'll quickly meet all the different encounters. Still fun but worth noting.

That may be a few complaints but I really do like the game and would recommend it if you like deckbuilding roguelikes.
While the dev has teased at adding more content, I think it is already worth picking up as it is now.

Chaos Galaxy is a potentially good game, but annoyingly flawed that it becomes a chore to play.

TLDR:
If I could give it a `~` score, something between "meh", I would. If you really think it looks interesting, go ahead and try the game out. But, I would not recommend this title to a random person. It is an okay game muddled by a bad interface that makes playing more of a chore than it needs to be.

I played through two with two factions: Northsky (Vassal and Northsky victory), and Mozi.

The Good
  • Each team has unique units that actually play differently. I especially liked Mozi because of their high range weapons with the railguns and wave cannons after my lance fleet with Northsky.
  • AI that knows to join the winning side: Neutral AI asked to become my vassal as I slowly destroyed the Empire. Pretty cool.
  • When you have a good fight, it's a fun game.

The Meh
  • The translation in some areas is rough but understandable at least.
  • Special events triggering are too random. As Mozi, I got an event to steal tech. That's really cool! Except it didn't happen until too late into the game where I was already steamrolling the map and new ships didn't matter. It would have been nice to have that tech earlier in the game when I wasn't just autoresolving every battle.
  • Prestige seems kind... pathetic or completely useless to some factions. I had maxed prestige (999) well before the game was over and never got nuke tech so nothing ever brought it down.
  • Commanders are unique: That's good! But some are totally worthless while others have extremely powerful abilities. All commanders seem to get there power at the same rate (without upgrades) which doesn't seem right given power differences.
  • Planet management is very basic and wish assigning people to govern was automatic because feels like another time waste with too many clicks to get stuff done.

The Bad...
  • Alien Impact, or lack there of: I thought maybe there'd be an event where the second invasion happened and something would threaten me late game but it never happened. Then I realized, it wasn't a thing.
  • Useless abilities and upgrades: Speaking of lack of aliens, there are character abilities that only works on aliens, and upgrades to increase damage to aliens. Except, there is only one alien unit in the game. The Black Khalif can get a Space Worm (which I assume is the target of these effects), but the Black Khalif die so early into my campaigns to AI factions, they'd never even have to chance to get for the research for worms let alone use them.
  • Annual meetings: having an update on the empire is cool in theory but in reality it is a waste of time. I'll be told the planet I just conquered has low loyalty, I need to build more forts or the commanders I'm not using and have set to sleep need reinforcement. Then you get to pick a goal for the year. This gives you Prestige which, again, is worthless.
  • AI cheats in that it will always know when to radar scan for a submarine in Dive that you were using to scout.
  • And my biggest gripe: CLICKING. SO MUCH CLICKING!
This game's interface is HORRIBLY OPTIMIZED. It takes way too many clicks to get things done. This could easily be optimized to remove 1-2 clicks per action which would save A LOT of time. This is probably THE biggest problem I have with the game because I feel I waste so much time clicking because there are so many unnecessary steps. I ended up auto resolving battles because manually fighting just took too long.
  • "Bug" I encountered while playing Northsky, as a vassal: Galactic Empire controlled entire galaxy. Empire had four vassals and we had no enemies or other factions to fight. And yet, the game did not end. Goal is that vassal or 'suzerain' control 50 planets. I controlled 38, Empire had 16 (and other 3 vassals had 16 between them). But that wasn't 50 in the hands of one so it didn't count. I had to declare war on the empire, take 12 more planets then ask to be a vassal again so I could get the vassal ending. Really stupid to have to do.

I want to want to play other factions, but when I think of how much of a slog it is to click through everything I lose interest. Maybe I'll comeback to it in the future for a bit more.
Does the sequel fix these problems? I don't know.

Hunt is a love hate game.

I love:
the setting, the sound design and the gameplay is usually pretty fun. The addition of rain is really cool. It is kind of a unique game. It runs decently well on my aging system as well.

Meh:
Sometimes It can be a walking simulator. I've played a game that had only our team on the map, and others where we kill the single boss and extract without anyone trying to contest. Those matches can be pretty boring and drag on for quite a while.

The Bad:
The Asia server kind of sucks. Living in Japan, its super unreliable. Packet loss, near 100 ping (when it is working, and much worse when it isn't), and goes down constantly. I thought it was my internet at first, but then I realized all the other servers were just fine. The US West server has a higher ping but is a much more stable connection.

The economy: The most recent update killed the ability meaningfully earn the BB currency. I've supported the game by buying DLC, but Im not buying BB. You use to be able to earn this nice cosmetic currency at a slow but steady rate for just doing good at the game. But that's gone now.
What do we have instead?
A battle pass.
I am so sick of battle passes in games. Seems like every multiplayer game has one these days.
No, I'm not buying a battle pass, ESPECIALLY after removing the ability to freely earn BB.
BB income has slowly been getting nerfed over time but what's happened this last patch is a bit too much for me.

Marfusha is a cute game that really lacks substance. You only do one thing, stand on the left side and shoot at baddies come from the right side. You can pick an upgrade to buy between rounds and after 10 visit your room. There is a story mode that does this and a challenge mode that does this endlessly. My main problem is just how simple the gameplay loop is so extremely simple, it gets boring rather quickly.I was able to get all the achievements with 3.4 hours easily. How some reviews have over 10h is a mystery to me.There are multiple endings for using different support characters ( I got ending 10 then 9) but I really couldn't be asked to play any more to see them; not that I'd see much because there's very little-to no art for finishing the game, its mostly just text on a blank screen. Wow.For what it is worth, its not *bad* and was probably made by one person, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

This is a game I have found to be a very charming game.
The building of your own custom base is quite fun and pushing back the infestation is very satisfying.

One complaint I have seen in OLD reviews is that the game lacks content.
Playing it now in 2023, I dont know when it changed but this is certainly not the case.

I was able to beat the main campaign in about 5.3h (according to steam).
This unlocked a second, harder campaign, very cool.

There is also an Experiment mode. While poorly introduced (IE: not at all), this is an endless gameplay mode that also has a progression system and the ability to make custom towers. Haven't gotten too deep into it but is pretty interesting.

Then there is also the custom levels and steam workshop which I haven't even touched.

One criticism I have is that the game needs a better trailer that is more representative of the game.

I had a lot of fun with this game so far and think it is definitely worth it, especially on sale.

Early Access Review
Terra Invicta is Early Access
Terra Invicta is Ambitious

Its still rough in many aspects.
It still needs to explain how to do things better.
And I hope it is improved.
Devs seem to be listening but game needs time to cook still.

Terra Invicta is a good game, but not one I'd recommend to most people.

Very cool "deckbuilder", but you are building up your dice.
The mechanics are sound and it is fun building up a strong set of dice. Each dungeon is very different, and each hero is as well so you can have quite a few play styles.

Now, I dont know how much the devs will update this game but there are some issues I have:
1- The art resolution is rather low. That or scaling isn't done very well. I have to play in windowed mode because it looks pretty bad fullscreen. (I dont know if there's much you can do about that)
2- Auto unequipping relics when I change areas is really annoying. You can "favorite" certain relics but I'd rather be able to save loadouts for each character so I dont have to redo my set up each time.
3- Steam achievements. Please.

That said, none of these are deal breakers, or *that* big of an issue. This really is a hidden gem on steam and I hope more people are able to find it.
