This has been such a fresh breeze.
It felt like a game i had played when i was younger, but forgot.
The only challenge was myself, of what i am capable of.
With all the subtle puzzles and many abilities you could learn it never felt boring.
If you are a fan of Metroidvania games, dont focus too much on battle but on exploration
and solving puzzles, then i can recommend this game.
The lack of map can be a little discouraging, but its really not that hard to remember places.
To me thats the fun, memorizing things.

Okay, if you love retro FPS, then you must at least check out CULTIC!

No kidding, this game is FAST, the controls are amazing smooth.
You even get a dodge, tho i forget to dodge all the time. LOL
The graphics are so MMH-MH!! Polygons and Voxels, whoo-yeah!
But i have to tell you, you can not make the graphics look shiny newschool like in someo ther games.
If you really relaly must have crispy clean and polished visuals, you will be disappointed.
Try it tho!

The world interaction is also amazing, pick up an oil lamp and toss it at the enemies.
Enemies are not dumb either, they see your lighter and go for it.
But you can play it stealthy too - to a certain degree.

What i love:
Very difficult if you want it to be.
Runs smooth and looks amazing retro
Interactive World

What i love a little less:
reloading saves after death takes some time (havent checked on SSD)
The music can get repetitive

Play this game, it is very good!

While fairly short, its a lot of fun.
I love games that are a bit mysterious with its story and leave some things to the players imagination. Specially when some things, that are minor and not entirely relevant to the story, remain in darkness.

Only thing i wish the game had, was the option to skip dialogues after you heard them and respawned.
Made a few passages in the game rather annoying than fun.
Definintely recommending this game if you love puzzle platformers with tight controls

This game shows, that it does not matter what tools you are given, but instead what you are doing with them.

An old, polished, engine - still rocking hardcore in times where you get almost realistic graphics.

My guess, "why?" is - you are not lost in details of hyper realism.
Instead you got the scene on your screen, you see the NPCs and you get the major idea, the blanks - you fill in yourself.

This leaves space for self interpetation! You dont have this set, pre-chewed, idea of a high detail design.

Sure games like Deus Ex look amazing, but while they look realistic, it also feels a bit.. hm.. sterile.

Maybe it is because i am from a time when games like Duke Nukem 3D and Doom were top of the art games and nostalgia scratches my back when i see games like Ion Maiden.

But really, look at this engine and the detail it is putting on your screen, and those details feel more like ideas that become fully alive in your head as you play.
And this makes the game just that little bit better - for me! Maybe for you too?

Anyway... i am totalyl hyped for the full release of the game and can recommend it to everyone who enjoyed the games of the 90's

This is a review for my friends:
I can not speak for the endgame content since i have been only playing the game for a little more than 12 hours in total.
But after a rough start, this game feels nice and welcoming.

Rough start i say, what i meant is the way it controls - menues being closed by backspace, weapons drawn by pressing middle mouse button...
But as soon as you get over that, its good fun. Sure the voice acting is not the greatest, but hey, everyone played Oblivion and loved it.
The graphics are good, the game runs fast.
If you love a good challenge and single player games, then this game is for you.
But watch some in game footage first, its really not as bad as some people say.
IT IS NOT SKYRIM DO NOT COMPARE IT
