This game is alot of fun, i love seeing the take on fairy tale characters. It allows up to 4 people to play at the same time, but balancing wise it feels like its more of a single player game. It works with multiple people, but ive had a better time when solo, enemy health scales fast with more people.

This game is like a shipwreck. The waves batter the ship and splinter the hull, breaking it down into broken pieces until you're left alone, clinging to the mast as the ocean batters you about. But when the storm subsides, you find yourself on an island. the seagulls are cawing, and theres this glow inside you after the storm. What a phenomenal game. It will hurt, but the payoff was worth it for the journey and the self reflection. 10/10 buy this game

Its a fun little game. I enjoyed the tense moments of leaving the train and not knowing if Charles was going to appear or not. Fighting off Charles was fun with trying to manage the different weapons from overheating and healing during combat.

Stealth sections against the cultists doesn't work though, either they see through walls or the instant they see they activate and start chasing you. You can literally just run past them though so while its not so much fun, its also not a roadblock.

It could definitely use some polish, but I still very much enjoyed my time spent with this game. 100% in a little over 2 hours, Id say its worth your time!

Good amount of customizing, engaging story, good voice acting, a bit buggy but nothing that detracts from the game that much

The problem with the Pre-Sequel is that it is a glorified DLC, the oxygen barely plays a part in the game, I actually feel bad for Jack for what happens to him in this game, this isn't dropping the ball, it's dropping the ball on your foot and the ball is covered in rusty nails

Having played the first one and considering it the best hidden gem i've found, I was excited to hear there was a sequel in the works. While I must admit that I was dissapointed that it wasn't free like the first one was, I am happy to say that it was well worth the money. The controls feel spot on, and make most of the deaths feel like your fault (sometimes you respawn in such a way to fall right onto passing enemies, but it's far and few in between when it does happen). Respawning is very quick and the music keeps right on playing, which by the way is very good in it's own right. I'd buy the sound track if it had one.

As far as difficulty goes, it's not insanely hard to beat, which is good. There are several power ups to find along the way and 6 hearts to find to unlock the final dungeon, which are a bit cryptic to find, but luckily there's an npc in one of the first towns that can lead you to them. It has several fake walls that are about 50/50 in terms of secrecy. Some you can kinda tell are fake or can be passed through, but others catch you off guard. It has some invisible blocks, but none placed in such a way to prevent you from jumping over chasms.

I didn't 100% the game, cause going gem hunting isn't my cup of tea but if it's yours then there's a secret world map full of challenge courses for you to test your skill in.

All in all, a very good game. No real complaints to be had with it. Well worth its full price.

DDE is what I would call the "game of the year" version of Dungeon Defenders. It constantly finds new ways to impress me as I play it, making the original DD seem obsolete in comparison. All the characters are unlocked from the get go, so you don't have to buy them seperately. Mana, chests, and all items are seperate to each player, so you don't have to fight over them. New item slots have been added like trinkets to use during combat such as Flash heal, Instant tower repair, and even a holy hand grenade to deal with pesky skeletons. A new currency has been added called coins, which is used to upgrade your items instead of mana. There are orb like items which grant you increased exp, loot drops, and loot rarity which apply for the entire map and for everybody, further encouraging team play. Towers now have stat numbers available, so you can see exactly how your skills affect them. There have been some downsides however, such as now your armor appears on your character at all times, which makes you look gaudy if your armor selection clashes. I would like the ability to turn this off. The summoner no longer has minion points but uses defense points like everyone else, however has been buffed to compensate. The tavern is a public hub, which lags everytime someone joins for a split second, making inventory management a bit irritating. Overall though, I would recommend this version over the original any day of the week. If you've already bought the dlc for the first one, maybe only get this for 5$ or if the new features really appeal to you. There is one last thing to mention, and that is the playverse overlay. I mention it last because it's barely worth mentioning as it doesn't really add anything to the game, and account creation takes a few seconds at best. Don't let it dissuade you from this awesome version of a good game.

EDIT: The mana that drops from enemies is not shared and is able to be picked up by anyone. I'm sorry for misleading you on that fact. Chests and items still remain as being unique to you and you alone

Mercenary Kings is one of those games where it fits oh so perfectly in what I was searching for. A fun crafting system where you can build gun parts and mix and match to find your preferred set up, 2d platforming shootemup where you shoot all the enemies on screen, throwing in a few hostage and capture missions for variety, and fun to look at graphics that keep me enticed. The story is nothing special, but not boring either. It's there if you want it but I prefer to start the mission and find out what to blow up. A great buy for 20$, can't go wrong.
