THERE'S TWO BIG REASONS TO PLAY THIS GAME

Quick review: Arken Age is a very green and lush VR game, which is very relaxing on the eyes. VR mechanics are nice, with a story that's just okay. It relies more on it's gameplay which is where it shines. There are some cons but I believe those are fixable in the long run. If you're a PCVR gamer, this is a no-brainer to play!

Pros:
- Very nice art style, lots of green and trees
- Fighting mechanics is decent, weapons are customizable and nice to hold
- Climbing is awesome, love the pickaxes
- Looting mechanic is neat
- Game feels MASSIVE. Like the world feels big and lots to do and collect, reminds me of Stormland in that sense
- VR interaction is fun, the menus and items you pick up are all great to hold
- Swimming looks beautiful!

Cons:
- The sound feels very old and retro-y, enemies sound very 8-bit arcade
- Swordplay can get a bit glitchy sometimes
- Story is okay, nothing too new, bad guys take over and stealing the land's resources
- Graphics is okay. The terrain and textures even at maximum, don't look too high res, but maybe I'm just nitpicking here

- NOT LIKE HALF LIFE ALYX

You clearly haven't played a Metro game before

Going to have to change my review for this to negative --
Thoroughly enjoyed single player mode on the Steam version here, but the devs have abandoned the game here in favor of updating other platforms. (Standalone & PSVR2) All the new features and gameplay stuff has not been updated since 2019, it now seems like abandonware unfortunately.

You can let the devs know on Survios Twitter if you want them to bring back the Steam version to live

BETWEEN JEREMY AND MICROTRANSACTIONS, I CAN'T TELL WHO'S THE REAL VILLIAN

MUCH sharper than the Quest standalone version! This PC version looks a lot better, has ACTUAL people in your arcade/laundromat now. You can actually read the text on the walls, third time playing this game across different platforms and going to be spending hours in it again 🤪

Tech talk: There are more settings you can adjust in this too, including comfort options & hand/nail colors. For those saying they can't adjust the comfort options, you need to play through the tutorial which is 2/3 days first, then restart the game to get the settings menu.

Gameplay wise, it's the same Arcade Paradise game, you either love it or hate it, I love the grind
