If you have friends, you'll enjoy playing a team of survivors together, if you don't have friends, don't worry, you can still enjoy playing killer or suffer through solo survivor. The game has a few occasional bugs that need to be polished, but otherwise it's good. The only downside is that you'll probably go insane eventually from the playerbase.
The game is fairly difficult for newbies, as it has a lot of characters, perks and things to learn. If you have 200 hours in and you still aren't good, no worries, you'll still be considered a beginner at like 1000+ hours.
If I had to give you some advice, it'd be: 1) Grow a thick skin and prepare yourself, some players are very harsh when they lose, and will insult you. 2) But if you lose, keep trying, don't expect to win every single match. 3) Watch tutorials on Youtube, the tutorials ingame are ♥♥♥♥♥ and explain really just basics.
