Wait for at least 50% off - it's a short and shallow game, and retail price is far too high.

Graphics are fantastic, but graphics don't make a good game. Levels are insanely linear, short, and often claustrophobic. Combat is about as complex as picking your nose. Playable characters and progression lack any real depth.

Largely enjoyable, but will eventually become a frustrating series of endless chores to get five minutes of enjoyment.

And then it gets reset, so you run the treadmill again only to get to more chores.

Retains what made System Shock so special, keeping the look and feel of the original while updating the game for modern systems and audiences. I can only speak as someone who played System Shock nearly three decades ago, but it's impressive how dedicated the developers have been to keeping it true to the original. I've recommended the game multiple times to people who have enjoyed games like Prey, BioShock, Dishonored, Deus Ex, etc. and feedback from newcomers is positive. Personally, given the quality of this remake I am looking forward to a future System Shock 2 remake (not just the upcoming Enhanced Edition).

Straight up: it's not a Rick and Morty game. /But/ it does look like, sound like, play like, and ♥♥♥♥ around with inconsequential ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like one. Yes: if you like Rick and Morty, you'll probably like Trover Saves the Universe (you'll also probably like the show "Solar Opposites" on Hulu - it's a lot more like Trover than R&M).

First - one of the best features of this game is the freedom of input. Controller? Check. Keyboard & Mouse? Check. Want to play in VR and use Keyboard & Mouse? Check. Want to play with a wireless controller in your left hand and a mouse in your right? Check. What about a VR headset, keyboard and Index controller? (Okay, I haven't tried that last one, but it probably works).

Second - it's /good/ and /bad/. There are parts of the game that are legitimately, and apparently intentionally, annoying as ♥♥♥♥. That does not preclude them being funny, however, and often the impetus behind you doing something absolutely hilarious is the game being a ♥♥♥♥ to you.

Finally (because I don't want to spend ages on this) - don't fret trying to do everything in one go (especially collecting all the green power babies). You'll have more fun just playing the game first and going back to 100% it (if you feel you need to), as there are mutually exclusive paths in the game (although, not many) and it's worth fully exploring them both.

TL,DR: Short but fun, get it when heavily discounted or in a bundle.

It seems apt that SUPERHOT VR has an achievement titled "What's Wrong With You?!"

It's a fun game but fairly short. Combat is strategic but fairly repetitive, although there's plenty of satisfaction to be had in destroying the targets. There *were* some scenes where the player character has to attack their virtual avatar (immediately made clear it's not even the player character itself) but the developer apparently spent a few years debating whether it was appropriate or not before cutting them from the game. Simply adding a scene before the start of the game acknowledging the issue and providing the player with an un-cut or cut version is a far better choice.

It's still worth playing but wait until it's heavily discounted or included in a bundle. That way, if the developers decide to cut more potentially disturbing scenes from the free-form slow-motion murder simulator, you won't feel cheated.

While not as polished as we might have hoped from CDPR, and definitely falling short of the immense hype, CP2077 is a gorgeous game with an engaging story and fun gameplay.

TL,DR; Well worth playing. Patches are ongoing, but issues are rarer than they may seem - a vocal minority of players have genuine issues, but if you end up being one of them you'll find out before you're ineligible for a refund.

While H:ZD has definitely had a rocky start on PC, please remember that unhappy people are far more vocal - and far more likely to leave a negative review - than happy people. Players who were unfortunate enough to suffer issues like crashing, freezing etc. will no doubt have left reviews while still sore about their experiences.

That said, it can't be denied that there have been widespread issues with this port. It's understandable; it was originally designed from the ground up for a single hardware configuration, not the myriad configurations available in the PC domain. Issues were inevitable, and the developers have been quick to provide patches to attempt to resolve them.

Personally, I only suffered rare stuttering (although I run an atypical three-screen setup) with performance overall fair considering my hardware (i7 4820K, 32GB, 1070, SSD). Performance has increased with the early patches, and stuttering only occurs when I'm running other programs in the background (like Chrome and Netflix on secondary screens).

As for gameplay, story, etc. I can't offer anything more than the existing reviews - it's a great game and well worth playing. Don't feel you have to wait for it to be "fixed" - as I said; people that have issues are far more vocal than those that don't, and if you have issues in the first couple of hours you can choose between waiting for a patch or refunding.

Addendum - to those players whose issues have been resolved, please take the time to amend your review!

In short; not Half-Life 3, but a worthy addition to the series and sets an impressive example for VR.

Feels like Half-LIfe 2 - plays like Arizona Sunshine x Boneworks. Thoroughly polished, engaging, and rewarding gameplay leads you through a fluid story and detailed world. Controls are fairly intuitive (even on WMR - I can only imagine how much better Index controllers are at the moment), story is ever-present but not forced upon you, and the world is detailed from rooftops to sewers.

It doesn't feel right calling it a masterpiece of any description. It's a little disappointing not to be back in Gordon's HEV suit yet the tools given to Alyx are both familiar enough and still fresh.

It's easy to see the effort put into making it an accessible VR title - little touches like wearing hats, cones or masks that will get snatched by hidden barnacles instead of the player getting grabbed and panicking. The inclusion of smooth movement is extremely welcome, but moreso is the ability to use it in tandem with teleport movement. Arguably a standing-VR experience at its best, it loses very little if you choose to sit down to play.

Visually, it's the most impressive title I've played so far - but that's not to say it's for ultra high end only. It scales very well, and even mid- and low-end VR-capable PCs will make it look good. It's balanced and (in my experience) extremely well optimized.

I'm happy to have bought it during the sale, but now I'm back at work I rather wish I'd bought it earlier!
