every thing i would say about this game is already covered in the top negative reviews of it.
so i wont waste my time with that effort.
i'm just here to add to the negative experiences counter.

Apparently i gave this game a try years ago. No recollection.
Thought i'd give it another shot after a fascinating "Down the Rabbit Hole" documentary by Fredrik Knudsen.

Installed. Loaded. Got prompted to re-enter email address to confirm, and to click the Link in the email to Activate.
Done.

"Email verification failed
We are unable to verify your email address at this time. Please try again later."

tried a couple more times over the following hour. same.

10/10 - Would uninstall again.

wont let you log into a preexisting account, AND wont let you skip a tutorial.

other than that, this is a mobile port of a game that can get away with its limited awkward intractability on a smart phone, but as a standalone desktop game that wont let you move your mobile progress over, it's just an eye candy with a nice soundtrack, cringe voice acting, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ game play.

i played this directly through the website so don't mind the low hours counter.

this game is a snail paced money pit.
out of about half a dozen F2P games that i stuck with, this is by far the worst P2W offender.

i am baffled by all these positive reviews.

no way to change resolution on windowed mode.
no way to skip tutorial, and no way to change settings during the said tutorial to for example disable music/sound.

EDIT:

played about 2 years in this game and got pretty far.
had to reinstall windows but kept the steam folders in tact.

despite keeping the game files, the game for some reason restarted from scratch
no problem, right? i linked my progress to Kongregate.
so, instead of suffering through the unskippable "training" i clicked on the K expecting for my progress to be synced up after logging in.

instead, i got a message saying my account has been linked, and the intro training continued.
my progress is all gone.

if i had spent money on this dumpster fire i would have been pissed

if you like the tabletop game, and miss ability to get together with others, and can only do it remotely, getting this game is a no brainer.

that said, its not without glitches and UI quirks.

ex: same green arrow that announces completion of an action within your turn, and also end of your turn, leading to occasional premature ending of your turn when you still want to be able to do something.

also, searching the available open games could use a filter/sort option.

great utility. just reinstalled it recently to re-benchmark after a few upgrades.
still works top notch.
was pleasantly surprised that my old account stored previous tests from half a decade ago and i was able to compare.
