- the protagonist shouldve been male. definetly the #1 worst part of this game is exactly this. The silent horny tech whizz who seemingly has infinite stamina and joy just perfectly fits the male gender and not at all female.
- i feel like the difficulty drops off a bit once you get the dash ability and realise that it give you complete invincibility while youre dashing. Although it is fun just phasing through enemies that you were completely defenceless to in prev levels without a care.
- vanripper (the game dev) is terrible when it comes to naming his characters lol. gotta suppress his polish tendencies more

missed potential

there are 2 parts to this game. You'll know what im talking about when you come across them. The tests in the first part are mostly done with the blue portal device, and i didnt like them a lot as they are very time consuming and makes you backtrack a lot. The tests in the second part though start introducing fun and well thought-out mechanics, zero jankiness, awesome and fun solutions. Minor spoiler: i really like the voice of your partner here as well! well written, i hate the partner in the first part of the game though.

Ill also say there are a few parts of the game where the game turns into a walking sim for 5-10 mins, and while it is gorgeous and the mapping team has done a spectacular job, i wish there was also some puzzle solving gameplay in it. Like sure, im immersed, but im also bored and even a little sad that all this effort went into making this amazing environment that im passing by in 5 seconds.


conclusion: decent gameplay (first part), great gameplay (second part), annoying partner (first part), awesome partner (second part), too much walking with no gameplay (a few times)

I had more fun in this than Half-Life 2 and its episodes COMBINED. The main character is an absolute badass and not the edgy type. Being able to command your fellow combine soldiers, hearing their chatter is so tacticool. Seeing the war machines which targeted you in Half-Life 2 fight alongside you is mindblowing. Being a bad guy for once is an experience you very rarely get in videogames. This mod is a masterpiece.

I was shocked when I saw the credits roll. I expected there to be a giant list of white names, only to be greeted with profile pictures of the devs, which was a fraction of my expectations.
