User Interface

In the new update, there are various problems resulting from the switch to the new engine, like crashing when joining a mission, rendering issues indoor, possible crashes due to using the UI keyboard shorcuts too quickly , but it's mostly playable. I like the direction the new ballistics system is going in.

A huge blunder, it's difficult to understate this, is the new UI. Tasks that used to take one click to accomplish now take 3 or 4. On top of that, if you use your mouse to navigate the menus, you must path the pointer from a corner, to the center, then to a different corner for many things. It's a massive spit in the face to the YEARS of UI improvements that lead to the actually serviceable UI of the previous version.

I took a hiatus from this game because there's these portions in between fights were you slowly walk through an area, and a few of the fights are kinda boring, but if you stick with it and play through the whole game, it's definitely worth it.

I'd suggest only buying this if it's on sale.

Plot is a bit cliche, and the writing is vague, meant to be mysterious to hide the fact there isn't much of a story at all.

Puzzle concept is interesting, and there were a few good ones, but the beats are generally the same, and new mechanics aren't added often.

Sound design is okay, but there were parts where the voice acting was made incomprehensible because of the background noise.

Game is primarily to tell a story, sound design and worldbuilding support that. Gameplay is primarily stealth, with some stuff on investigation, with some interesting tech to help with that, but it's really the story, visuals, and sound that sells this game. And a very good story it is, with subversion, believable twists, and interesting developments.

very weird going from a car racing game to this, but if you like flying aircraft 5ft off the ground, go for it

ya walk too slow, the "puzzles" are just word searches, and you could watch a video of the whole thing before it finishes downloading

the implications about the world were fairly interesting if you like post-apocalyptic stuff

Spooky, fun, and intruiging. The gun manipulations are some of the most realistic I've seen in a game.

The controls are a bit janky and dated, leading to occasional frustrations, but it's still fun to play.

It's an interesting take on psychological issues for sure

The puzzles are mostly either blatantly obvious or convoluted. In general, the solution to a problem is a non sequitur, meaning clicking randomly usually works, or you need to look up the solution. The mediocre music and boring dialogue detracts from an otherwise beautiful presentation. The slow, railroaded movement hurts pacing significantly.

A stronger writer, and the ability to stop moving towards a zone if you change your mind, would be good changes.
