- to story and characters but that's not why I play borderlands. Still has the cheesy one liners that make you smile occasionally, but more groans. Starts taking itself way too seriously in the back half and the politically correct everyone-is-gay-and-a-minority-and-an-empowered-girlgamer is too forced. Character arcs are a bit off too, subtracting many of the best characters in the game and passing the torch to weaker brand-new ones.

+ to gameplay cycle. Loot is better, co-op is better, fights feel better, maps feel better.

All told a decent step forward from 2. It does run very heavy on my hardware for how it looks though which is a shame, because BL2 was very well optimized.

Best zombie game of all time. Still looks and plays great in 2019.

Edited: contacted support, they won't acknowledge my ownership of the game as I didn't buy it through pinballarcade.com and want receipts from Steam. I am informed I now have to register to pinballarcade.com to have content returned if I can even "prove" I own it. Don't care enough to keep chasing this up but zzz. I guess it's a free game now anyway.

This game sucks. I bought it ages ago because it advertised as non-subscription and it wasn't riddled with microtrans but they've decided not to respect that. Now that I need 100+ more bucks/subscription to play it properly I regret spending the first 80, it's just not that good of a game.

To the Elder Scrolls Team: Your response is disingenuous. Inventory space is so limited without add-ons classes can't be built properly, guilds can't be participated in. There is no viable end-game and swathes of content is denied. If you had advertised this to me as a 80$ plus 10/month subscription, I wouldn't be upset. Because I wouldn't have bought the game. Thanks for taking the time to respond here.

Great game, first major update is really good.

Just leaving my own two cents of negative reviews on these games after 2K corrupts my save data then turns off badges every year.

The worst Fallout, generic feeling gameplay, weak dialogue choices, forced storylines. I would recommend this on sale but after that horrible update and the state of greediness in the content, I can't recommend this for over 10 dollars.

Buy ARMA II for 10 bucks cheaper, get the better-in-every-way dayz mod for free. Dating a girl who tried to get me into this, banged all day in pause menu and can't get refund now. 8/10 would do again. You'd think Valve would have enough of a rep to protect to do something about this "early-access" model as this is THE case study of how 12 dudes can pick up their kickstarter money and give everyone the finger.

Seriously though, I didn't even get involved in a learning experience before putting this broken piece down. It's an overly ambitious project that is broken, and will stay broken. The devs have their money and they are done doing any real work. It is a 10 fps walk through an empty level design. Don't buy this thinking it will come into fruition, having engaged the community and done a little research it's a no-hoper.

Edited for 3 years later : Game still sucks & completely broken, not better at all. Somehow they are still hawking this crap and Microsoft and Steam are knowingly letting them rip you off so watch the early-access programs.
