Okay, first things first: I was a beta tester for Eastshade, so my review might be a bit biased.

With that out of the way: I love Eastshade. I have been following it's development for quite some time now and the amount of love and thought that went into this game still amazes me.


Eastshade = The Elder Scrolls without violence.

This comparison may be a bit superficial, but I think it sums it up pretty well, especially from a gameplay standpoint. On the other hand, Eastshade is it's very own thing. It has it's own charm that is not easily comparable to other games.

But most importantly, Eastshade is an experience. I could go on rambling about the astonishing graphics, the lovely characters, the involving quests or just the beautiful atmosphere that is made possible by a very fitting soundtrack - but after all you will have to experience it for yourself.

You will easily get 18 hours of playtime out of this - even more if you take your time - but after that, you will be sad to leave the world of Eastshade. I certainly was.

If you are still undecided if you should buy this game - just try it. Grab a loved one, snuggle yourself into a cozy blanket and start your adventure - it will be worth your time.
