A classic horror story hindered only slightly by dated controls and POV. But every purchase of Alan Wake on Steam is a protest against Epic, so 10/10.

A great little game to play on your laptop while passing time. Levels are fair but challenging, with a unique atmosphere and a hard mode that will turn your hair gray. Visuals are cool, music is cool, and the game plays on a potato. Definitely worth the buy.

EDIT 3: achievements are back so it's all gucci, still not as good as payday 2, but full crossplay so I can play a sick game mode with people I can't always play with, but doN'T ♥♥♥♥♥♥ CROSS ME AGAIN STARBREEZE

Cinematics? Nope, raw documentary footage. Story line? ♥♥♥♥ you, interviews with the soldiers. Respawn? 1, if you earn it. Classes? You're a tool of the US government, you'll be assigned a specialty.

My favorite tactical FPS right now. Immersive, intense, and challenging. Not unfair, but not for everyone.

It's not perfect, and the missions are admittedly limited, but the game has responsive devs, a clear road map, and a solid community behind it.

Game crashes within 2 secs of opening, can't even see the title screen. Don't waste your money, and don't support devs that don't patch their games.

Buy it to play with friends. Keep it to hear your friends' screams cut short in the darkness by an unseen horror.

This $10 game is making AAA titles look bad. 10/10

If you're looking for a porn game, you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for a decent game, you'll be really disappointed.

Simply put, don't support devs that don't care about their players. It's been over 5 years since release, and not only will crashes still regularly ruin your game, but the text is still rife with spelling errors, indicating they have no plans to go back and patch the game. Won't stop them from charging $15 for a 2 hour game though.

The story itself has something there to admire, but one half is mostly cliches, while the other half is borrowed from better stories and games, ranging from American Beauty (trailer) and Amnesia (gameplay) to Eyes Wide Shut (obvious) and Planescape: Torment (atmosphere). Honestly, the list goes on, to the point that anything that could be seen as original is simply washed over.

I'd say get this when it goes on sale for 90% off, but I don't want to suggest that a lower price will make the game worth playing.
