This is an alright game, but it isn't going to change your life or anything in spite of what the fans tell you.

I bought this for the web deployment, which I saw as a leading advantage over RenPy.

What I got was the most tedious drag-and-drop interface ever. I suppose it's designed to be idiot proof but having to manually pick every option every time and position everything by hand is a level of tedium which I never before imagined. It's literally worse than work, you couldn't pay me to use this software. In fact could probbaly learn to program your own visual novel engine faster than you could make one with all the mouse clicks it takes.

There's a reason their selling point is "programming is hard" - because they want to scare people into buying this. They tell you you're too stupid to program then sell you software that's written down to someone who does not realize how hard programming isn't.

This is the first time I have ever wanted a refund on steam and I may or may not try and invoice them for mouse wear and tear.

I haven't played a lot of it but, in general it feels a lot like Diablo II with some Gauntlet Dark Legacy influence. That said it's disappointing to boot up a game and find out that you need to buy the other half... Also keeping in mind the current sale price of the game itself... I'd end up paying more for the DLC than I did for the game (!).

In general I do like it but... goodness, gracious my stars*. Release a bundle of the DLC or something.

I would like to neither specifically recommend or not but in general I think it's fun enough. And, I mean, for 60¢ what do I really want?

*Apparently ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ + n was too PG13 for Steam.

A lot of people don't like this game... but I actually really do. I'm not sure what it is that I like so much. But I do like it and I do think its a good game and worth the $15.
