This game had so much promise and Fatshark did as Fatshark does and built a steaming pile of crap on top of the absolute gold that the gameplay and art direction teams built. The gameplay, sound, art direction, etc, are all great, but it's all packaged in a way that makes you so incredibly frustrated that Fatshark are the ones managing it. So much wasted potential. Save yourself some time and don't buy this, you'll regret the purchase and put maybe 10-30 hours in, realize there's very little content due to maybe 1 map being added every 6 months (not exaggerating) and an incredibly shallow crafting system (that was delayed from release btw).

Edit: Sony has removed the requirement; Helldivers 2 is an amazing game and we have proven a company will change it's mind if we make our voices heard. Helldivers 2 is an amazing game; buy it!

Helldivers 2 was an amazing game until Sony pulled the rug out from under Arrowhead and it's playerbase by requiring a PSN account to play the game when previously it wasn't required. This has locked out thousands of players WHO BOUGHT THE GAME from playing it. This review will stay negative until Sony learns to not eat their golden goose.

No other game exists that devs have given more time and love to over the years. This is the epitome of survival gameplay. What others have only tried to accomplish, Rust has taken further and beyond. The only downside is how toxic the community can be, but my best advice is find a good group and stick with them!

Fantastic game, very underrated, fresh and exciting gameplay, have played it since its early Alpha stages.
