I found out about ♡Blackpink♡ in early 2020, I remember my friend was obsessed with them and I didn’t get exactly why. I was confused at the hype of k-pop in general, what was so special about these people who sang in Korean?

♡Blackpink♡ introduced me into k-pop, my friend would dance to Kill This Love and I would watch her thinking, the choreography was cool and then I’d ask her to teach me the moves. She once asked me who my bias was Jisoo, Jennie, Rose or ♡Lisa♡ and I remember saying ♡Lisa♡ randomly despite not even knowing who they were. After a while, I decided to watch the music video for myself.

I don’t remember much since it’s been a little of a while, but I loved the song, the colors were vibrant and the scenes were amazing, I found ♡Lisa♡ attractive and she would go on to become my bias.
It was something different, a new sound that was unique to me and made me think second when it came to k-pop; it was actually quite addictive and I loved how they danced along to their own music.

I started watching more and more music videos, alongside ♡Blackpink♡ try not to laugh and iconic moment. I won’t lie I partly became a fan after I noticed how much views those videos got making me want to create my own, but then after a while of editing and watching content I got captured and slowly started becoming a ♡Blink♡.

Curiosity and being interested really made me a fan. I didn’t see k-pop as Korean music at all but more so music and I think that’s what made me want to discover more about it. I’m honestly so thankful for ♡Blackpink♡ because now I am a k-pop fan and love to listen to it.
