Updated review:

It's May 8th, 2024, the automatons that infiltrated Super Earth's network have since been dealt with. I stand vigilant for the broadcasted dooms day of May 30th. May the fellow Helldivers continue their push against the intergalactic Automatons and Tyranids and not have to return home to defend from within again. Happy diving Helldivers o7

I'm leaving the original message below for what it was, a blacklash to Sony's greed and blatant disregard for gamers all for the sake of profits and "number go up" coldness, and as a stark reminder that huge companies do not have your well being in mind unless it hurts their wallets.

Well, it's been fun while it lasted. Thanks to Sony and some kind of demand/agreement to enforce Playstation accounts 3 months after the game's release, I'm no longer intrigued to play the game. I really enjoyed my time, but it's been real, it's been fun, and it was real fun, before Sony ruined it all. o7

**WARNING** DO NOT INSTALL THIS GAME IF YOU DO NOT WANT A PLAYSTATION ACCOUNT! ****
The days of "Well it _was_ required, but wasn't enforced" are over, get away from this sinking ship while you can. It's been ruined by yet another "We're doing this for your _security_~!" (AKA they want your data and want to sell it because they're greedy bastards...)

No, I did not see a "3rd Party Account Required" when I purchased this game, it was no where in the checkout nor at the top of the page when I bought this game. When signing into the game I saw a "Create an account or Skip" option, which I proceeded to skip because 1) I do not want a PSN account & 2) It was too much of a pain for me. Any attempts to say "Well, it was always required" does not hold water when it was never enforced until months after release, which does not count as quote unquote "required".... Welcome to reality where it's been months after the release and is now, after such success, suddenly required. False advertisement and horrible management of customer experience.

tl;dr; DO NOT REQUIRE A PSN ACCOUNT TO PLAY A PC GAME THAT DID NOT REQUIRE IT 3+ MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH... ♥♥♥♥ YOU SONY

I didn't even know there was a 3D version of Sheltered 1, it's really great to see the entire sheltered 1 base in 3D.

Now for the sting of it all. I'm on Linux/Proton, so take this all with a huge grain of salt -- The amount of strange bugs and just odd behavior of the UI object interactions is insane. Hovering my mouse over an object to have it go insane with audio queues that I shouldn't be there, to reloading the game and the traveling merchant cart sound constantly playing until I reload the game, is just _odd_. I understand most of these odd bugs are edge cases, difficult to reproduce, and/or not game breaking, but that reflects a low level of polish on a game that's now coming up to 3 years after its release.

I hope the developers are doing well and are working on something else they're excited on because dealing with legacy & jank is painful and doesn't pay the bills at the end of the day. Test suites is the way to victory my fellow devs. I don't know a ton about game development test automation, but please invest into them if you can, you'll thank yourself ten fold down the line <3's

Flying in space? Don't you mean Ship Building Simulator 2021? I think I've spent 200+ hours in the ship designer and maybe 100 or so hours flying & mining. Most of that time was spent learning the system and crafting my hideous, yet functional boxes with engines strapped to them.

Also, it feels like a lovely mix of Space Engineers & EVE Online (oh boy you bet there's spreadsheets already!). Oh and we actually got walking in stations _sip_ :3

I cannot recommend this game for any Linux user, and probably not any Window's user. I don't know if some of these issues also occur on the Windows side, but in Linux:
1. Ambient occlusion being turned on causes random black dots to show up all over the place. Turn this off fixes the issue instantly
2. Adjusting any graphics setting causes most of my character model to just disappear until I reload the save
3. There is absolutely not confirmation popup if you accidentally click the "Main Menu" button
4. The most egregious problem of them all, the loading times are absolutely unacceptable. Especially if you change graphics settings (requiring a reload of the save), accidentally go to the main menu, or die. On top of which, the game does not do any background loading while alt-tabbed in Full screen, so you have to sit through the agonizing 2+ minute loading times. I have the game saved on an M.2 drive that has not shown any other problem for the 100+ other games I use it for.

Desperately needed quality of life changes:
1. Optimize loading times
2. Confirmation on going to the Main Menu

Personal opinion changes:
1. Do not mix the inventory/crafting menu and options menu into the same system, requiring me to hit ESC to get to both. Split these apart so context makes more sense. Hitting ESC should take me to Game Options Menus, not my inventory (I don't like this design in other games like Terraria either)

Best of luck to you on future endeavors developer.

Was there fingerprints, ghost writing, spirit box, and/or EMF 5? I swear that light turned itself off. Wait, why is my flashlight blinking? OH GOD RUN!

(Crazy spoopy in the beginning, but we've played too much so it's not as jumpy scary as it first was, look forward to more spoops)

I really enjoyed Risk of Rain 1 and have thoroughly enjoyed Risk of Rain 2. I look forward to this game's full release.

Nearly 5 years into Early Access development with what appears to be either development hell or abandonment since July 2018, this is not worth your money unless you'd like to see some concepts from the game and break them down as game mechanics to study.

Ever want to see what would happen if you managed to get 3 or more people you just couldn't stand being around personally, all together in a single colony to survive?

Welcome to Human Skin Hat Simulator 2018! Where the encounters are made up and the Rando Randy story progressions doesn't matter!

I swear this game grows on you like a mutated 3rd arm from Fallout. Give it a couple hours try and you'll realized you've become one with the Pyromaniac's must be hats group in no time.
