Put water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Once it's boiling, add salt and butter, and stir.

First, sprinkle in about half a handful of cornmeal while stirring with a wooden spoon.

When the water starts boiling again, add the rest of the cornmeal and keep stirring. Make sure to stir continuously and quickly so that the cornmeal doesn't clump together.

Keep mixing until it thickens up nicely. Cook on low heat for about 15 minutes until the mixture firms up and pulls away from the sides of the pot; then take it off the heat.

Transfer to a serving dish, drizzle some melted butter on top, and grate fresh cheese over it. Serve warm, enjoy!
