Sent two cars right off a cliff and got an achievement for it.
9/11, really good stuff. Keeps you entertained for 30 minutes, maybe 31.

If you can get past the terrible port, this is an amazingly good game. If you spend 30 minutes learning which buttons are which, it's time well spent for what the rest of the game will offer you. I would also recommend checking out DMC4 for a much better port, maybe the best port ever. However, DMC4 is not as good a game as DMC3 is, and even with a few issues here and there, DMC3 is the absolute best hack-n-slash game out there.
(Don't even think about bothering with DmC, because that has half the content the FIRST DMC has.)

Stuck in limbo between way too oldschool and modern shooter. Every time it tries to do something it just falls flat on it's face, MP40 that can be reloaded, but has infinite ammo in both magazines anyways, pistols with the same issue, a run speed which is way too high for what the game is set in, which is often inside bunkers and sometimes has jumping puzzles which are painstakingly hard because of controlling, enemies with pin point accuracy in a game where bullets should be dogded but can't be and just design choices all over that makes barely any sense...
Serious Sam is a great game and does so many things right. This game is similar, but controls much worse, has less interesting enviroments and enemies, and weapons feel off on all occasions.

I see what was attempted, but I can sadly not recommend this game. I would rather play Serious Sam, Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein, Duke Nukem or similar games if I were you. Sadly, no newer old school titles have been made lately, and I hope that the new Wolfenstein will be good. We need more old school titles, like this one, but this sadly isn't a good enough attempt.

Where to start with this? If you played the old PayDay, which I highly reccommend you do, then you should try this one out too. However, it is slightly different from the first one, in which all maps used to be focused on one approach and it was more about surviving waves of police enforcers. It's a bit different here in which all objectives are made much clearer and that there's a bigger focus on stuff you need to do, instead of just drilling a door for 2 minutes, then moving on. Here, there's loads of different things you need to do, like getting into banks, robbing stores, stealing paintings, stealing weapons, cooking meth and so on.

Each heist is different, but PayDay 2 lacks major heists, and as of now only has around 4 or 5. PayDay 2 also focuses on a more realistic approach compared to PayDay 1. Don't get me wrong, there's still hordes of police and SWAT coming for you, but they seem to deal more damage, think about smarter and won't die as easily. There are also returning special SWAT, like the Shield, Taser and Bulldozer, but there is a severe lack of "The splinter cell guy", which is kinda odd considering he is in some ingame pictures.

There's also a bigger focus on stealth, and you can stealth around 50% of the missions now, instead of those very few from PayDay 1. Stealthing is a very good and functioning mechanic, and you often get a lot more out of stealthing than just gunning your way out of everything. They also fixed a lot with the skill/inventory system. Skill trees are now very thorough and makes more sense, and weapons are no longer connected with your skill tree, except for some exceptions like the saw.

Weapons are instead unlocked (early on) and can be bought via a store. Weapon mods, masks, colours and so forth is now mixed into a sort of drop system, in which you pick a card out of three and it randomly gives you an item. This system will get mixed ratings, and I treat it as inventive, but also restricting, cos all weapon mods you want to apply, you have to find first, and there's a lot of weapon mods you may want. You will therefore often find yourself doing the shortest heists to get more weapon mods and masks and such, which is not a good design choice. However, Overkill is doing a great job at trying to fix problems, add heists, weapons and masks and just making us happier in general. The graphics are varying from beautiful to kinda ugly. Try not to look too hard at textures and you will find the game much better looking, but it's not a triple A title, so I'm not expecting perfection.

As long as Overkill keeps adding GOOD heists and fix more issues, not that there are many left (it's mostly the drop system, so maybe try adding a sort of trading system with it? You know like TF2 and so forth.), and keep looking out for this game, I think this is a good long term investment. As it is it's a great game, maybe even GOTY for PC, but I expect more quality heists in the future, and as long as we see this coming, I highly recommend this.

Summary: Great gunplay, good heists and good replayability, only game of it's kind on the market, sure to give you loads of thrills and as long as you have some friends to play this with, you will not regret buying this, especially for the low price it's currently at. If you don't have friends, do not play with bots, they are comparable with L4D, which is a quite similar game actually...

Hey guys, we have the best destructible enviroments made in a game. We also have an interesting setting and driveable vehicles and an open world enviroment and a great multiplayer. Sadly, that was our last game, Red Faction Guerilla. This is not Guerilla. We thought outside the box on this one, and put everything inside a box. That's right, all that destructible envoriment, inside caves where there are barely any buildings to destroy. No more driveable vehicles, apart from one or two mechs. All enemies replaced with aliens which make no sense and are terribly programmed. Multiplayer is also practically dead... But the best part? Oh yes, this game is not even open worlded like Guerilla was.

We took everything good about Guerilla, removed it, and here's your game.

I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate you.
