Realm is a fun game. It is a grind to earn your status type with very little pay to win aspects. You can buy higher tiered items in the shop for realm money, and buy feed power items to get a good pet, but that doesnt mean a thing if you are not good at the game and understand its mechanics.
Through the years that I have played I have noticed many positive things. I have built friendships, gotten deeper into the world ov video games, and learned ways to accept loss when i die on a character ive spent awhile building up. Yet at the same time this game has caused me very much frustration. I have seen this game with its pervious owners and the new ones are doing a very good job at cleaning up a broken game. But they are ignoring a main factor as to why i have mixed emotions about realm of the mad god.

The lag.

This game has killed my characters so many times due to the ridiculous amounts of lag in it. The Servers are always crowded during the events they put out and instead of focusing in on why the game lags and fixing it, the owners are more interested in making money and putting out new character skins. More recently I have noticed a large amount of people quittinjg the game due to the lag. Realm is a game where once you die, you cannot get back anything you lost on that character. If you spent months on it, have high fame, and really rare loot, maxed out stats, and a bunch of good stuff, if you die you die. This is where the lag becomes the issue. Within the past 3 months alone i have lost a total of 16 maxed out characters many with really good loot due to the lag. Shots from enemies wont even be on your screen ad you just pop and die. Or you will be rubberbanding and jump forwards and backwards into whordes of enemies and get demolished. Yet DECA does not decide to fix it. They put out a new skin every day it seems like and it is just a big cash grab. They are too busy getting profits to actually fix their game and make it playable. It is disgusting and it is not how a game should be ran.

All in all, Realm Of The Mad God is a fun game and i would reccomend my friends to play it. You dont need a super computer to run it because it is only an 8 bit game and not hard on many computers. The lag 99.9% of the time will mnot be your fault and is just something you will have to deal with if you play the game. The developers dont care about you or your characters. They are greedy and want your money so remember that. Have fun playing if you want to waste your time away
