Tactical Breach Wizards is a neatly wrapped tactical combat game in a detective-themed visual novel packaging, which follows in the footsteps of two intensely well-designed videogames.

The characters feel modern, with a lot of traditionally british wit, and the episodic plot is great for playing on the go or just in short bursts.

Amazing co-op brawler with plenty of character variety. The metaprogression balance will probably need some finetuning over time, so that it's equally rewarding to repeat levels at higher difficulty or push new content, but for its low price, and the ability to co-op with a mixed group of people with various experience levels and amount of gametime, it's one of the most fun pickups

It suffers a little bit from the gacha trappings, but Limbus is a solid iteration on the concepts presented in Library of Ruina, with a very tight main cast and plot. Performance on mobile isn't great, but it runs well on steam deck as well as desktop!

If you have, let's say, 10 spare hours and you like videogames with plenty of reading, Roadwarden is one of the best ways to spend them.

The characters and universe are deeply realized, despite the minimalistic graphic presentation. You really feel like a part of the world helping these little dudes survive and thrive in a cruel, unforgiving land. You can probably also exploit them mercilessly to get rich but I don't like being mean in videogames so I didn't try that :(

Games as art. Games about art. Pentiment is both.

In little time, you will fall in love with the artbook Bavarians and their trials and tribulations. Through death, betrayal, and misery, and using the backdrop of the 16th century (war, famine, religious turmoil!) Pentiment is a game about community, about humans, about family, about purpose.

A can't miss game for 2022. Josh Sawyer do a remake of Darklands next, please.

I was expecting Neon White to be a "nintendo hard" game, where precision in aiming and twitch reflexes were the necessity to get in at the door. I was pleased to meet a game where strategy and thought are what enable you to go lightning fast, jumping off stuff and dashing through glass walls in full style.

The panzer dragoon meets adult swim aesthetic is fairly unique, and, together with some trope-heavy but well-written characters, really helps the pretty banal story entertain you for the duration. Heavily recommended.
