Escape Simulator, along with its DLCs, offers a phenomenal cooperative gaming experience that strikes the perfect balance between challenge and enjoyment. The puzzles are thoughtfully designed, offering just the right level of difficulty to keep you intrigued without veering into frustratingly illogical territory. Each puzzle feels solvable with the clues provided, making the experience both satisfying and intellectually stimulating.

A standout feature is the game's embrace of community creativity. The in-game editor and map maker are fantastic additions, empowering players to craft their own puzzles and share them with the community. This not only keeps the game fresh but also fosters a sense of connection and collaboration among players.

Additionally, the developers' monthly selection of community maps adds a curated touch, ensuring that players have access to high-quality, player-created challenges. This aspect of the game enriches the experience, as it consistently introduces new and exciting puzzles to solve.

Whether you're playing solo or with friends, Escape Simulator is a game I highly recommend. Its blend of engaging puzzles, community involvement, and developer support creates a dynamic and enjoyable environment that's hard to beat.

Great time sink for endless fun. You don't get that with many games, no matter the price tag. Also, development might be coming to and end after 9 years but Mods support is just now starting!!

Okay, I'll try to be as honest as I can in my review. This game was presented to me by a friend around 2 hours before release and I had no idea what it was about but I watched a few videos and decided I'd play it as soon as it was released (bad idea!!). I checked the minimum/recommended specs (as I usually do) and I thought that I'd be alright since I was within the recommended specs (i7-6700k at 4.5gHz, 16 gb of ram (3200Mhz) and a gtx 1080ti), I was wrong.

Using Oculus rift + 3 Sensors:
The game stuttered hard whenever you were coming out of a loading screen and tons more when only in the main lobby with all the other players. On top of that, there was no option to use push to talk or even toggle your microphone so you just had to bear with all the other voices at the same time and the really loud music as well (the music was actually great though, but loud). Getting over the stutters, the lobby had a few stairs and what seemed like portals (around 5/6 I believe) with little to no information, you had to walk/run a solid minute before reaching any of the portals without even knowing if you were going to the right one.

Once I figured how to actually play the game, the game was running a lot smoothly (not great though) and I thought I'd be able to enjoy the game at last. I did a few quests, killed a bunch of bad guys (Melee weapons feel way tooooo clunky and light and I wasn't able to properly aim with the bow but since it had sort of a laser showing where the shot would land, it's "ok") and then I wanted to play with my friends so we tried to get in a lobby.

At first we all went back to the main menu but in VR, we didn't have access to any sort of menu (wtf??) so our friend that was playing on a desktop invited us to his lobby, we accepted it but nothing happened (??). We found the portal that allowed us to join other lobbies and we just made a public one but me and another VR user never actually got into our friend's lobby because the game just never finished loading, for some reason. So I quit the game and decided I'd try to play it in the desktop, it couldn't be worse than the experience I had in VR, right? Wrong again.

I launched the game on the desktop and my jaw was dropped to the floor when I saw that the performance was equally bad on the desktop. I managed to get on said lobby and I kinda of enjoyed the building mechanics and overall game but it felt like there wasn't a real feel of an RPG nor an MMO. Seems like they just added "Quests" which are literally just telling you to go there, there and there and the quest is completed and a few stats/skillpoints to upgrade skills and slapped the RPG tag on it.

I'd rate this game a 3/10 right now. The idea is there and it has potential but I feel like they just rushed the release (seems like a common thing these days..). I'd love to see this game be worked on so it can actually be played but for now I can't recommend it at all.

I've been playing this game ever since it was released and I must say it's a really good game! It does have a slight learning curve but I caught myself enjoying the realism and immersion of the game while trying to understand the game mechanics. The characters creation is really filled with options and you can select tons of personalizations and even mess with the facial/body structure. On top of that, you have plenty of weapons to choose from, which with its own pros and cons. In the end, it usually comes down to skill but since you're on a 32v32 environment, you can get outnumbered pretty often. One of the few games that made me afraid of even come back to the fight whenever I died! The game still has some flaws (mostly getting stuck in a few spots on some maps and unbalanced weapons) but the developers are pretty active and they've been listening to the community since day 1 implementing new changes and maps.

Early Access Review
The most immersive rythm gaming available and it has the best modding community!

This game is extremely fun! I couldn't stop laughing the whole time so I'd say it's definitely worth buying! The narrator is extremely fun to annoy (right?) and the puzzles are smart and well thought! The jokes are all top quality, either good or they can be so bad it makes you laugh so it's a win/win situation :D For a new launched game it offers a lot of content already and a lot of freedom in some puzzles which is extremely thrilling!

Definetly a game worth buying, but if you are thinking about playing multiplayer, i'd recommend playing a friends closed private session with 3 other friends. The online itself is very well made but the game has too many modders (hackers) that will kill you just to make their KD ratio go up. While doing heists, you better queue up with friends aswell because there are some pretty dumb people in this game somehow (?). Strongly advise you to play the singleplayer with a mod or two installed aswell, the gameplay and the story are awesome and worth paying to play!

Editing my review because of the latest Launcher that doesn't support offline single play!! WTF??
