A very fun game to play with friends and race for the better time.

Cute platformer with clever and fun key mechanic. I really like to drill around, secondary mechanics are also quite fun. But here is the catch: there is 2, max 3 levels with each. I get that there is collectables and time attacks, but dude I want more levels, not just repeated ones. Levels are well polished, bosses are a bit janky, but manageable.

Good game, but 8 hours to 100% is just not enough, I want more!
P.S. Was surprised to find a retro-style manual, kudos to devs for that.

I had high hopes for this DLC, but the developer decided to shove too many ideas into a single map.

The beginning of the map is fine. A bit stretched, but fine and fun to play. New mechanics and assets are a bit janky but fun to play with (especially pipes, both inside and outside).

Starting from 320m the route begins to become too stretched, filled with seemingly filler jumps that have no actual challenge and that serve only one purpose: waste your time. And I should mention that all the water pools there are not safe spots, if you fall above them, you will lose SO MUCH TIME (like 5 minutes of climbing back each time).
But it's all fine as long as you play carefully and consistently (which is easy here, because there is no tight jumps).

Starting from 390m is where the worst part begins.
Those 110 last meters feel like whole another map just because how long of a section that is. Kudos to the developer for figuring out SO MANY setups and fitting them all into the last section. Some jumps are REALLY tight, but especially tight ones are safe to fall at least. But if you do fall, prepare to waste another 20 minutes.

It wouldn't be that bad, but after 450m there are setups that are still a mystery to me (like the KEEP SPRINT section with horizontal ladders). I see how it is possible, I did it in the practice mode, but on the actual run when you lose like 20 minutes to try once - hell nah.

I beat the map using the speedrun strats from the WR by Clark: they turn the last 100 meters into 6 risky jumps with lilypads, so I didn't experience the full intended path. But it still took me almost 13 hours to beat.
And I do not recommend you experiencing it either. If you are willing to learn weird speedrun jumps - it would be fun, but do not buy this if you think that they're too hard for you.

"Platformer" that was put together in about a week, filled with a ton of letter and symbol achievements and posted to Steam with a hope to get some quick money.

It's just 20 minutes of boring repetitive music and boring repetitive levels. Absolutely no level design and no fun playing through mirrored levels (because the developer wanted more levels but didn't want to make them).

Shovelware, avoid this game.

The greatest 3D platforming game ever.

I always thought that 3D platformers can't get as precise and controllable as 2D ones, but Beton Brutal has proved me wrong.
This game is in the 1st person, which I think is pretty important for players to feel where their character truly is. This accompanied with refined movement and a lot of various leeways (decently big coyote time, anti-bonk system, scouting and the ability to crouch), makes up a REALLY smooth experience.
Just a smooth movement is not enough on its own for a great platformer game. Beton Brutal is also very clever when it comes to level design. The way developers utilize horizontal movement to extend vertical progress is what makes this game a "getting over it" game, but the difficulty balance is good enough, so you can easily learn everything by the 3rd time you beat the same section (or you can even find shortcuts that skip from 10 seconds to up to a couple of minutes of climbing).

I've stumbled upon seemingly "impossible" jump a couple of times during the playthrough, but after a couple of falls it always turns out to be possible (and sometimes really easy). If you get stuck, think for a bit, find a lineup or look for a different route, you'll get there.

From the aesthetic side, Beton Brutal is quite good also. Not something mindblowing, but the music, visuals and effects blend together very well (do not turn off the vertigo effects for the true experience).

I beat the game in 11 hours for the first time, and by the 30 hour mark I got a 13 minute long run. This game is addicting if you speedrun it hehe. Speedrun tech is enjoyable to perform and if you go fast - it will feel fast.

If you enjoyed Getting Over It - play Beton Brutal. If you like Minecraft parkour - play Beton Brutal. If you want something challenging - play Beton Brutal. Amazing game.

Surprisingly, a decent game, unlike other NSFW games on Steam.

Yeah it is silly with all the ♥♥♥♥♥ stuff, but at least it doesn't try to be something serious.
I am not a fan of metroidvania-like games, but this one is alright from the gameplay side. The playthrough was easy and fun, I chuckled on some jokes even.
Visuals are good, but not everywhere: there are some spots where the background and foreground are blending so much that I couldn't figure out what is solid wall and what is not. I liked the character and location design though.
There are some balancing issues: all sub-bosses can be face-tanked and final boss is easier than some bosses in the middle of playthrough.
Movement is kinda jank when you try to combine dashes and jumps in various ways.

Sure it was annoying to go and collect all the stuff I've missed/couldn't collect before, but it was not so bad with the help of guides (some collectables are obnoxious).
If you want a silly game that you don't have to care too much about - go for it.

Fun game at the first glance, but it turned out my first impressions were wrong.
Yes, it is colorful. Yes it looks happy. But only looks.

A good platformer must have good level design, but this game doesn't have any level design better than corridors with timings. Levels look stylish, but feel empty when you play them. The game would be alright if only levels were a bad thing though.
Spinch lacks polish. There are a ton of bugs here and there, to the point that you can get softlocked and forced to restart a level if a weird collision happens. Some levels do not feel quite balanced, difficulty curve is weird. All bonus levels are the same level with different aesthetics. At least the bosses are different lol.

Overall, it was a dull and a bit annoying playthrough. I don't even want to to any of the post-game stuff. Meh.

First things first: this is not a Celeste clone, but rather a game that is heavily inspired by Celeste.

Fun to play through, it kept me interested all the way to the end. I can't compare it to Celeste because it has different core mechanics and other mechanics in general. Level design is very good, both in normal mode and in the hard mode. There is some annoying sections here and there, but what game doesn't have them?
Kudos to the devs for adding a no-death achievement with the cute cat, got it as well.

Highly recommend playing if you like platformers, honestly any kind of them, main campaign didn't feel hard at all.

Unique 3D speedrun-based platformer.
Not very hard to beat if you want to just complete all levels, but very tricky to get diamond medals on all levels. It requires quite some out-of-box thinking and optimizing, and you can't just watch the world record run and repeat it, because WR runs are so not-doable for a casual or even experienced players, most of them will just get you stunned and make you question reality.
Chapter 6 is annoying with diamond medals, I had to spend 30-60 minutes on each level to get them.

With the upcoming free (for the game owners) expansion that might change, but I am sure that will be positive change.

Give me my 5 hours back.
4 base levels are very short and kinda pointless (just memorization and tight timings, nothing too impressive), 4 drunk levels are just a visual challenge of previous levels (same thing but you see less, LOL).

Endless mode was promising at first, a great field to train your pattern recognition and mucle memory... Except ♥♥♥♥ your pattern recognition - the screen itself after 50 points starts to spin so fast that I feel like I am looking at the washing mashine (motion sickness warning) and ♥♥♥♥ your muscle memory - the speed increases as you progress so you can't use the same clicks you were using 30 points back.
Getting to 100pts was way too frustrating and not fun, and even looked like random after 90.

Play geometry dash if you want something endless with click timing and memorization.
