pros:
- true pve option, co-op experiences are always nice, and the community in pve (so far) is friendly and nice
- game looks good, didn't notice any pop in although there was some stuttering on helicopter rides
- interesting health system
- the ai will move in and out of cover sometimes, they're not entirely brain dead, especially if you're close to them

♥♥♥♥:
- muddy sound design, the immersiveness of being shot at doesn't really give you much to go off of and the sound is so muddy that telling the origin of the gunfire can be really awkward, it just doesn't sound good and most of what i hear is FROG
- insert and exfil system is pretty bland, the gimmick gets old pretty much instantly, not to mention their awful joint brevity VA work
- AI damage model mechanics feel as though they are among the worst in genre. needing to hit an unarmed person 12 times with 5.56 (the gun you start with), and sometimes needing multiple headshots, is actually absurd. i don't know if this is a server issue or what, but it does not feel good
- AI behavior at longer ranges is hilariously bad, lack of desire to return fire and they just flounder around while you put multiple bullets into them so they die.
- from as far as I've seen, there are no dynamic things occurring the world, your missions are "go here, put a tracker here, shoot these people, leave, etc." and there's nothing to add any spice to PVE, you'll have to go to PVPVE for that, and with easy anticheat as the anti-hacking measure I have no faith that the experience will be enjoyable in a couple weeks
- the performance sucks unless you have a high end rig, 3060 struggles and the devs called it an 'old card' lol
- tarkov tasks system, get a job at base and go out just to walk somewhere, look at a thing, and then come back to get your items for looking at the thing. i personally hate this design

it's like if you took unmodded arma and gave it the loot mechanics of dayz without the zombies, slapped in some very poorly designed gun customization UI, asset ripped tarkov's inventory system, and picked only the worst missions from ghost recon to implement into the game.

it feels like an amalgam of a bunch of different games with as little polish as possible, and pushed out the door into early access way before it was ready.

if you really like the games listed above this game might scratch that itch if you really want something new. i already took the plunge and hope the game gets better, but the experience currently feels so unrefined i cannot possibly recommend it
