I usually don't write reviews on Steam, and I almost didn't purchase this game. Despite my initial hesitation, I ended up making the purchase anyway.  Drawing comparisons to Pokémon, there are similarities, but this game possesses its own unique atmosphere. There's something about the world and the creatures that I can't quite put into words. There are some problems with AI pathing for Pals and occasional game client crashes, which serve as a reminder that this game is still in early access, and that's understandable. The visuals are appealing, especially the special effects of Pal skills. To my surprise, the game runs smoothly on two of my PCs, which have a 6-year age gap in their hardware. Once the critical bugs are ironed out and hopefully, the developers will implement questing (I am aware that Journey is available), I am hopeful that this game will become a staple in the Steam libraries of many players.

One RPG that can certainly consume my time when permitted.
