Early Access Review
Engaging teamplay and satisfying progression, including a prestige system to continue leveling past class upgrades. The gameplay itself is engaging enough, but there are also often very notable moments of fun that shine through. This is one of those games that you tell your friends stories about.

I wouldn't buy this at full price, but it's definitely worth your time if you enjoyed the story from The Dark Descent. Well-written and laden with symbolism. Music is fantastic. If you do decide to play it, I'd recommend following a guide as to not miss any of the notes in the game; much of the story is concealed in these, and you're missing out if you don't find them all.

While FTL doesn't have what you might call an obvious story beyond the initial call to action, inferring different aspects of the FTL universe by picking up delicious morsels of information from beacon to beacon leaves you with a hunger for more. The game is sometimes cruel and unforgiving, but other times kind and generous. You are rewarded for perservering with new ships to try out, new layouts for your old and new ships, and different weapon loadouts for your ships on each run, so whether you "win" or "lose", the game always proves fun ALBEIT FRUSTRATING AT TIMES

All-time favorite game. Get some mods for added replayablity-Tale of Two Wastelands is fantastic if you own FO3 and its DLCs.

Endless space has always been a fun, albeit slow game for me to play by myself or with friends. It offers multiple models upon which to build your faction's traits, allows for specific map generation, and has the ability to take hours of your time before you notice them gone. If you need to bond with a friend, kill time, or play a decent 4X game, Endless Space has got you covered.

Team Fortress 2 has proven time and time again to entertain, and has served as an outlet for me to get many friends. TF2 promotes team synergy and communication, has hundreds of different servers, which as a collective provide diverse gameplay from casual to competitive, and has solid, balanced, gameplay mechanics that have been maintained and refined over its lifetime. This game is not realistic. This game is well-crafted, lighthearted, and fun. Oh, and yes. This game is free.
