In its current state... I don't really think this game is "it." My main issue with it is that Tenkaichi 3 felt like it had a good supply of GT, DB, and DBZ.

I think, DBZ-wise, you're good. You lose out on some movie characters like Fasha and Salza, but I don't think that's exactly a dealbreaker. You lose the GT shenrons and Super 17 (not to be confused with 17 (super)), and you're also losing the entire DB cast sans Goku.

Then the super cast doesn't exactly make up for that, and some characters, like Jiren, don't have the exact same polish.

I think what this game needs the most, besides filling character spots, is fixing the polish and adding more Super, GT, and DB characters, but now we're instead entering this era where 2/3rds of our DLC will further split the roster with Daima.... I dunno. I think Xenoverse 2 or FighterZ may be more worth your time. Or maybe even SDBH. I'd also say a fast menu button that skips the animations would be cool, if it already exists, I don't know it. Those menus are fancy but after the first two days they get annoying.

If anything changes after a few updates I'll be willing to update this review.

EDIT! I'm ingame and trying to make my viewpoint change but I saw something else that I feel is worth mentioning.

The What-if quality is actually..... really bad. The huge issue I have with the major what-if chapters is... they actually don't do a lot of showing, just telling! The example that triggered this is after a What-if Path in Goku's story - you'll know the one, it's the one where it's a 1v5 in the Saiyan Saga.

The cutscene after is essentially like, the narrator going, "Goku and friends fought off the antagonistic force. Our Villian of the chapter came in to persuade the Z-fighters to join him, but the Z-fighters refused"

Like..... can we see that and not just be told that? Can we see them have that conversation and get the full picture? We don't. It's just cut over through narratives.

I always ask myself, "Is this What-If Content better than the Cell Saga What-If from Budokai 1?" And surprisingly.... no! In this case I don't think anything so far beats that.

Real talk, heads up for this as well as Off the Record: You'll have to channel the spirit of Chuck Greene before you play if you wanna use a controller in either game - Get ready for some DIY to get that controller support working, with that xbox controller emulator program. Youtube it, should only take like 15 minutes to get that working correctly. This is kinda a combination review.

But otherwise this game is pretty solid, It's probably the best of the Dead Rising titles - In DR1, the survivors were really inept, but OTR actually downgrades the AI of the survivor, so maybe, just maybe, Chuck's got better leadership skills.
This also means if you want something harder and more like the original, go for OTR.

Chuck(2) and Frank(OTR) are much more punchy-one-liners against the Psychopaths, where in DR1, Frank is more sensitized to psychopath deaths. For Chuck they come off as fun Dad jokes. In Frank's case, it's kinda the start of his flanderization - he's horrible in DR4 from what i heard.

Also OTR has a swap around of a ton of mission times, adds one boss, and remixes another boss - and a new area - plus many new combo cards - however a lot of the psychopath dialogue has been cut lower dialogue-wise in OTR.

All and all I suggest 2, and I suggest also watching Case Zero's cutscenes on youtube before you play, and if you get Rank A on your ending (Hint: **** TK.) - watch Case West right after.

Entire franchise was given to me by a friend

After an update, it requires you to make an account to use it, period, even though it advertises that account making is only for making public rooms and buying things. I just wanna use this for personal use & I dont feel like making an account.

If this gets fixed in a later update, ill update this review. But for now? Nope.

This is litterally just YGOPro, just chinese bootlegged to hell. The cards are also riddled with typo's, my personal favorite is the "Raw Boat". Someone cook it!

Everything was great up until Momo started moaning. The noise she makes reminds me of the squeal dogs make when you kick them accidently.
