fantastic game, but i knew i would love it because it's the embodiment of what i want in a game:

interesting world building, beautiful pixel graphics, creative enemies and bosses, fun battle mechanics, witty dialogue, lovable characters... need i go on? i'm not even finished with the game yet and there's so much content i haven't touched in "completed" areas.

some of the quests and 'treasure hunting' make me want to die because they involve long and convoluted back-tracking through different areas but i feel accomplished when i finally complete them.

could not recommend higher if this is your kind of game. actually, just make it your kind of game. it's awesome.
